Buccaneers Concerned About Arron Sears

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are officially worried about offensive lineman Arron Sears, declining to detail whether they are concerned about him because of health or personal reasons, according to Pewter Report. Buccaneers coach Raheem Morris didn’t confirm or deny previous reports from Pewter Report that Sears has not been medically cleared to practice in the wake of a concussion that could jeopardize his career. Neurological exams apparently haven’t been promising. “Obviously, we are all concerned about Arron,” Morris told reporters today. “Realistically, it’s a private matter. I would respect Arron enough not to even talk about that. I’ll leave it as concerned and as a private matter.” Morris declined to elaborate when asked to specify whether the situation could end Sears’ career. “Again, it’s more than likely a private matter and just like anybody here I wouldn’t talk about their private matter,” Morris said. "... Again, it’s private. When you talk about these things you kind of shy away and leave it alone. Just be concerned, like we all are.” Morris didn’t rule out Sears for possible participation in the Buccaneers’ mandatory minicamp in two weeks, saying he’s hopeful. According to injury reports last season, Sears was diagnosed with a concussion for Week 9. Citing two sources, Pewter Report reported that Sears had more than one concussion last season.
