Simeon Rice Still Wants Back In

Former NFL defensive end Simeon Rice has taken his quest to return to the league directly to the web site owned by the league. Rice conducted a chat today at NFL.com, and he once again acknowledged that he wants to return to pro football. He said that he has had some contact with the Jets, but that “nothing happened.” Even if Rice doesn’t make it back, he thinks he already deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame. “If I don’t, it’s all BS!” he wrote. He even says that he’d be the best defensive end in the game, if he gets back into the league. Rice also claims that the feud between himself and former Bucs coach Jon Gruden was “blown out of proportion.” Um, it was? The last time we checked, it was Rice who was calling Gruden a “scumbag.” Apparently, there’s an alternative definition of the term that doesn’t mean “bag of scum.”
