Jets’ Home Schedule Raises Concerns

We just polished off our special SportingNews.com ten-pack of takes regarding the NFL 2009 regular-season schedule, and we’ve got another one. The league scheduled the Jets for back-to-back home games on the Jewish high holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. And the two games will be played against the Patriots and the Titans. That’s 25 percent of the team’s home schedule, and two of the biggest games of the year. It might not be an issue in other cities, but it’s apparently a huge deal in New York. Look for the league office to be swamped with complaints over this one.
