Nate Davis Back On The Radar?

Former Ball State quarterback Nate Davis became a forgotten man after only one team -- the geographically nearby Colts -- showed up for his Pro Day workout. But there’s good news for the guy whom many now regard as a player who might not be drafted at all. He’s got three pre-draft visits and counting. Last week, Davis visited the Jets and the 49ers. This week, he’ll visit the Steelers. The difference between a private workout and a visit is that, during a visit, the team puts the player at the blackboard and asks him about offensive strategies. In Davis’ case, it’s an opportunity to dispel rumors that he isn’t the shiniest set of shears in the shed. At this point, it’s not clear whether Davis will do enough to get himself back into serious consideration come draft weekend.
