CHIEFS SIGN TRAVIS DANIELS

The Kansas City Chiefs have announced that cornerback Travis Daniels has been signed to a free-agent contract. Terms weren’t disclosed. (But, hey, at least they said what position he’ll play.) Daniels, who spent 2008 with the Browns, began his career with a three-year stint in Miami. The Dolphins, under then-head coach Nick Saban, picked Daniels in the fourth round of the 2005 draft. Daniels had played for Saban at LSU. He has appeared in 51 career games, with 26 starts.
