BRONCOS CENTER TO KEEP PLAYING

After contemplating retirement, Denver Broncos Pro Bowl center Casey Wiegmann has decided to return for the 2009 season, according to ESPN.com. “Casey will play at least a couple more years,” said Joe Linta, Wiegmann’s agent. “He is playing his best football and he feels really good. He will be back.” Wiegmann, 36, is entering the final year of his contract after replacing Tom Nalen, who missed all of last season due to a knee injury and is expected to retire. Wiegmann had considered retiring after a long stint with the Kansas City Chiefs, but wound up staying in the AFC West with the Broncos and has replaced Tennessee Titans center Kevin Mawae on the AFC Pro Bowl squad as an injury replacement.
