TITANS EXPECT SCHWARTZ TO NO LONGER BE WITH THEM

With Titans defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz heading to Detroit for a second interview with the Lions, we’re told that Schwartz’s current team is convinced that he’ll be leaving. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the Titans already are lining up potential replacements for Schwartz. One candidate is Gregg Williams, who worked as the defensive coordinator in Tennessee before becoming the coach of the Bills in 2001. In all, Williams spent 11 years with the Oilers/Titans. Williams is under consideration for the defensive coordinator positions with the Saints and the Packers. The fact that he spent 2008 as the Jaguars’ defensive coordinator makes him even more attractive to the Titans, since they play Jacksonville twice per year.
