TEDY BRUSCHI LIKELY DONE FOR SEASON

New England Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi is expected to miss the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury Sunday against the Seahawks, the Boston Herald is reporting. Bruschi’s injury is apparently not too serious -- it would likely keep him out three or four weeks -- but with just three games left in the season and the Patriots probably needing to win them all to get to the playoffs, the team has decided to put him on injured reserve rather than have him take up a roster spot and hope he can return for the playoffs. With back-to-back games at Seattle and at Oakland, the Patriots are staying on the West Coast this week. But the Boston Globe reports that Bruschi was sent back to Massachusetts to undergo tests on his knee. Bruschi will turn 36 during the off-season, and it’s reasonable to wonder whether he has played his last NFL game. This season he has played all 13 games for the Patriots, starting 12.
