STEELERS STEAL ONE FROM COWBOYS

Trailing 13-3 with less that eight minutes to play in the game, the Pittsburgh Steelers exploded for 17 points in less than five-and-a-half minutes to stun the Cowboys, 20-13. Dallas seemed to have the game in hand after stuffing tailback Gary Russell on fourth and goal from the one. But after forcing a punt the Steelers got in position for a field goal. When they next got the ball back, the Steelers tied it up on a six-yard touchdown pass from Ben Roethlisberger to tight end Heath Miller. Then, with the Cowboys hoping to get in position for a game-winning field goal, cornerback DeShea Townsend picked off quarterback Tony Romo (his third of the day) and returned it for a touchdown. The loss drops the Cowboys to 8-5, and keeps them stuck in a logjam of teams jockeying for the sixth and final playoff spot in the NFC. The Steelers, meanwhile, continue to work their way through a Herculean schedule with ten wins in 13 games.
