NBC’s Andrea Kremer reports that Vikings coach Brad Childress was “hot” regarding a non-call on a first-half late hit against Minnesota quarterback Gus Frerotte.

“We’ve been hit by a bunch of them,” Childress told Kremer regarding roughing-the-passer calls.  “Why don’t they call the darn penalty on someone else?”

With the league cracking down on public criticism of officials in a season during which the officials have given players and coaches plenty of calls to criticize, Childress might be getting an opportunity to make an involuntary holiday donation to the charities of the NFL’s choice.
