As the Bears and Vikings get ready to rumble in the place Mike Ditka used to call the Rollerdome, the stakes couldn’t be much higher.
With the Packers at 5-7 and fading, the winner of this one seizes the inside track on the division crown.
Per Sean Jensen of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the Vikings inactives are receiver Aundrae Allison, tackle Artis Hicks, running back Maurice Hicks, tight end Garrett Mills, linebacker Dontarrious Thomas, defensive end Otis Grigsby, and defensive tackle Letroy Guion.
Hicks, who became a starter when Ryan Cook was demoted, will now yield the position back to Cook.
Allison had become a regular contributor in the receiving rotation; veteran Robert Ferguson will assume his spot on Sunday night.
For the Bears, the inactives include fullback Jason McKie, guard Terrence Metcalf, and receiver Marty Booker. Also, Nick Roach will start ahead of Hunter Hillenmeyer at strongside linebacker.

With the Fudge Packers having lost today the Bears winning tonight would bring my holiday vacation to a nice close.

Florio - when was the last time so many home teams lost in a single week? So far, only 3 home teams have won this week (Dallas, Philadelphia, and Tampa Bay). With only two games left, the best possible record for the home teams would be 5-11, though that is assuming the Vikings and Texans can both pull off wins. Just curious if there has ever been a worse week for home cooking.
