Bears cornerback Nathan Vasher has a broken hand, which will cause him to miss Sunday night’s game at Minnesota.
Both teams are 6-5.
The injury could knock Vasher out for the rest of the season.
“He’ll be out for a while,” coach Lovie Smith said Wednesday.
Smith wouldn’t say whether Vasher will be placed on injured reserve. The condition won’t require surgery.
Much is riding on Sunday night’s game. If the Bears win, they’ll essentially have a two-game lead over the Vikings, since the Bears will own the head-to-head tiebreaker.
The Bears defeated the Vikings at Soldier Field in October, 48-41.

You disappoint me Mike. Seems like a broken hand is a perfect opportunity for a Seinfeld joke. (”He’s out!”)

Totally rooting for the Bears. If the Pack can’t win, I’ll take the Bears over the Purple Peehole Eaters.

Go Bears!funny how when the pack are not winning the division it’s the weakest in football. ask the colts how weak it is since they are 1-2 against it and should be 0-3 but the vikes gave them 1.

“Purple Peehole Eaters” Hahhahahaaaaaaaaa
I agree about the bitter cheesedicks ripping the division whenever they can’t cut it. They do this every year and they are about as predictable as an episode of “Rugrats”

“Purple Peehole Eaters?” Really? Has the age of the average Packer fan dropped to 11 or so?
And, according to ESPN, the Saints have just scored again.
Maybe Packer fans should worry more about their own team than they do about making up stupid nicknames for teams they’re currently looking up at in the standings.

Nathan Vasher was not doing much any way besides complaining & moaning, i would think that bears would let him walk or try to trade him for may be a 6th rounder, bcz that is all he is worth,
as far as VIQUEENS go they do not have a QB which can take them places, so what if they win the division, they will loose to who ever comes over as the WC!

At least all Minnesota needs is a quarterback.
If you look at Green Bay, all they need is a quarterback. . .and a real running back. . .and an offensive line. . .and a defensive line. . .and NFL-caliber linebackers. . .and safeties. . .and a punter. But, hey, other than that, they’re pretty awesome.
Hell, a move to L.A. might almost be worth it if it meant we’d no longer have to listen to the mouth-breathing, turpentine-swilling idiots that comprise the Green Bay fan base. Still the most overrated fans in professional sports, which is only fitting considering that they cheer for the most overrated franchise in professional sports.

You think we really spend that much time thinking up creative nicknames for you? Come on now, you wear purple for god sakes! How hard do you think it could really be?

Wouldn’t that actually be a 1 1/2 game lead being that if Chi. lost 2 games and Minn. won 2, Minn. would be ahead.
