So why were the fines imposed on Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder and Patriots left tackle Matt Light identical, even though video of their altercation suggested that Light got in more licks than Crowder?
Per Charley Casserly of CBS, Crowder made “offensive personal comments” to Light.
Casserly said that the league has been trying to dissuade players from engaging in such banter, since it tends to incite violence.
The specific content of Crowder’s remarks isn’t known.

Why was Light not suspended he ripped a guy’s helmet off and throw 6 or 7 punches while holding Crowder’s head down. I am OK with both players being fined but not equally and Light should have been suspended for 1 game. This was worst than what Kyle Turley did to that Jets player and he was made into the biggest a-hole in NFL history.

I would really like to know what Crowder said to Light, especially since Logan Mankins blamed Porter, not Crowder, for the fight.
“I videotaped your mom last night,” maybe?

turley ripped the helmet off the guy who had done the same to erring brooks just before that.
the only hitch is that he screwed his team out of a sure TD and yes they lost to the jets.
maybe channing should watch whose wife or sister he talks about and to whom.

I watched the fight a few times and I didn’t see Light “rip of his helmet.” AND what Kyle Turley did was in response to Aaron Glenn trying to snap Brooks’ neck on the previous play. I don’t think you can even compare the two, Dolfans. What I did see was (in law enforcement terms) MUTUAL COMBAT with Crowder finishing first, backing up, and Light letting him go.
In radio interview Monday, Vince Wilfork alluded to something Crowder had been saying all game to Light but didn’t say what.

Anticipating that people will post comments critical of the Patriots and the way Goodell treats them doesn’t make said comments any less valid.
If anything, it bolsters the idea of unfairness, because it means even Patriots apologists can see the uneven treatment that New England receives at the league’s hands, and assume that somebody’s going to point it out.

1. For the patriots..
2. For the rest of the league..
My man was holding his hair, punching him in the head and gets only a fine..

That’s an interesting jump in logic. Whine enough, and when people make fun of you for posting the same things ad nauseum and come to expect it, claim they are doing so because the constant whining is accurate, not because it’s ridiculous.

Oh booo hooo he said something mean to me so I will rip his helmet off and feed him a few punches…. That sounds like something a 10 year old would do not a grown man. Now I’m not a huge conspiracy theory kinda person but seriously they get the same punishment? Goddell doesn’t seem to understand how to hand out proportional punishment relating to the type of offense. He just seems to wake up each morning and pick at random what he will give for fines or suspensions. I don’t know how someone with an IQ as low as his has such a prominent job!

Just like to point out an interesting flaw in a lot of your logic…..Patriots videotape from unauthorized locations, a memo is issued to stop, they don’t, you think Belichick should be suspended for a year…..Trash talking gets out of control, the league issues a memo to knock it off, Crowder ignores the decree, yet it’s unfair he gets punished?
I just thought that was interesting.

and i won’t comment further until we know what exactly was said.
