Patriots offensive tackle Matt Light and Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder won’t be suspended for their fight during Sunday’s game in Miami.
But they will be fined, $15,000 each.
Per Adam Schefter of NFL Network, the league opted to impose fines and not suspensions for the incident, which resulted in both players being ejected.

Just so I am clear the NFL’s position on player safety…
It’s okay to pull a guy by his hair (helmet absent) and pound on the back of his head but it’s not ok to tackle a quarterback with your shoulder immediately after he throws a pass.
Got it.
The NFL is rapidly becoming a sad, pathetic joke.

Lets see a $15k fine for beating someone over the head for Matt Light and a $15k fine for Hines Ward touching someone on the helmet after he caught a ball.
that seems about right.
Good thing that wasn’t another team’s player beating the hell out of an opponent because a suspension would have happened 100% of the time.

Hayward, I’ll help you out. Mangina Goodell is in Kraft’s back pocket.
Matt Light is a bitch.
Crowder didn’t do anything wrong.
It sure was fun to watch though. Now that’s entertainment!

What a crock of SH*T! Why does the NFL never discipline anyone on the Patriots? Light was pulling Crowder’s hair like a little girl and punching with a closed fist, how does that not result in a suspension? The dirty-est team in the NFL continues to play dirty and still Goodell’s too chicken to suspend any of them. Wilfork commits cheap shot after cheap shot and gets nothing but a fine. Belicheck video tapes games and only gets fined.
Hey Roger, why dont you do the league a favor and start suspending people from this low class organization?!?!

I don’t think Crowder should have been fined. You see shoving after a play all the time in the NFL, but Light’s fine is justified. (Cliche Alert) It’s an emotional game and when you get caught up in that and you feel someone did something dirty to you, you are bound to react in an uncool manner. It happened to me plenty of times when I was playing. What Light did was absolutely uncalled for, but it does happen sometimes and he should have been fined.
And Hayward I’m gonna take a push on that one. I think you nailed it at 115.

So, ripping a player’s helmet off, pulling his dreadlocks and clubbing him in the back of the head three times equates to the EXACT SAME FINE as pushing a player in the facemask and running away from the fight with a smile on your face????????????????????????
That’s a great message to send, maybe next time Crowder will actually fight back.

I’m not sure there should have been a suspension, but I certainly think Light should have had a heftier fine than Crowder (ie: Light 15-20k, Crowder 5k).
As for the over/under, I’m taking the under its a big travel day people are busy getting ready for the holiday.

i’ll take the over on the number of Patriots fans who complain that everyone thinks they’re the dirtiest team in NFL history.
At least Goodell could TRY to make it a little less obvious but that would require some degree of intellect and tact.

Im not sure why they want to kick black players out of football for fights in the club but, a fight during a football is completely ok. I’m still not sure why in the hell Crowder got kicked out of the game or fined? The pats get away with everything.

Question for the “he shouldn’t be pulling hair” crowd. You must be the guys that showed up to backyard football games wearing hoodies and then whine the whole game that guys are tackling you by the hoodie? Cut the hair and don’t wear a hoodie and it will be a lot more difficult for someone to catch you when you are running away from a fight.
