A day picking up their seventh-loss of the season in a 30-12 loss to the Vikings, the Jacksonville Jaguars cut two veteran players.
Gone are defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy and offensive lineman Milford Brown.
Kennedy was signed on March 5; Brown arrived on September 9 after guards Vince Manuwai and Maurice Williams were lost for the season in a Week One loss at Tennessee.
Kennedy was the 12th overall pick in the 2003 draft (Rams), and has never lived up to that status. He appeared in six games with no starts, registering six tackles and one sack.
Brown appeared in six games, starting four. He previously has played for the Texans, Cardinals, and Rams.
The Jaguars now have two empty roster spots.

Del Rio is certainly doing everything he can.
That is screw up the entire team since he must be smelling the coffee that he is long gone after this season.

Maybe they’ll use those roster spots on more ‘crafty’ wideouts. You know, the ones that generally wouldn’t have lasted long in the big-time, but have because certain teams (or just one) likes to ‘give them another chance.’

Tony Pashos gets four holding calls in one game, and Milford Brown is the one who gets cut.

Tony Pashos had a bad game against a stellar defensive line. Milford Brown sucks.

Yeah, Tony Pashos had a bad game. A REALLY bad game. But, let’s not kid ourselves by saying it was against a stellar defensive line. He wasn’t blocking Jared Allen or the Williams monsters. He was blocking Ray Edwards and some other scrubs, who beat him like a red-headed step child. Without Vince Manuwai and Maurice Williams the Jags O-line is terrible.

Give both the open spots to Troy Williamson. That man can play!

They need to keep cutting guys. How about Drayton “$13M guaranteed” Florence who couldn’t cover a snail in quicksand. Or DBs coach Donnie Henderson and DC Gregg Williams. Jerry Porter should keep his suitcase packed too.

They were cut in order to make room for George Wrightster and Jeremy Mincey. Mincey and Wrightster were on the PUP list.
