Miami Dolphins wide receiver Greg Camarillo will miss the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury in the Dolphins’ loss to the Patriots Sunday.
“He’s done,” Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said.
Camarillo leads the Dolphins with 55 catches and 613 receiving yards this season. He signed a three-year, $6 million contract extension this year.
Camarillo has started all 11 games this year. Davone Bess, Brandon London and Ernest Wilford will compete for his spot in the starting lineup.

Hopefully Bess gets the nod, but it’d be nice to see Wilford out the and get a little ROI on that huge amount of $$$ he got this offseason.

Let me guess Miami fans, the big meanies, err Pats, caused the injury by running up the score in a classless manner?
I do love the running up the score crying. Especially from Dolphins fans, who seem to have a short memory. Dan Marino was relentless on the field, and he wanted a TD on EVERY drive. Dolphins fans loved him for the “killer instinct” he had, always going for the knockout, or the jugular, or however you prefer to say it. And that is why he was so good, one of the greatest QB’s of all time.
Let me guess, when you pussies are playing Madden, and you are up by 30 points, do you start trying to go easy on the computer opponent? Of course you dont, you try to crush the computer every time.
Playing basketball in middle school, I was on a team that didnt have much talent, and we got crushed almost every game. Rarely did we lose by less than 25 points. I dont remember most of those losses, the loss that I do remember, that was the most embarrassing, was a game that we lost by only 20 points. The other team was instructed to not take a shot, until they had passed the ball atleast 5 times. That was the worst feeling I have ever had playing sports. Being demoralized, as well as getting crushed by the other team. I have more respect for a team that goes about its business, than I do for a team that “goes easy” on you. On the surface, it is a nice gesture, in theory, but demoralizing if you actually do it.
I wont defend Belichick, there are times that I dont agree with his decisions, putting up points on the scoreboard. But I will say this, kicking a field goal is TRYING to score points, the other team isnt going to block the kick, so you are intentionally scoring more points. Take yesterdays game for example. If not for Porter’s 30 yards of penalties, NE wouldnt have attempted a field goal, and woulnt have scored a TD, they would have simply run the time off the clock. Running play, after running play, straight up the middle. It wasnt end around options, where the receiver throws it to Cassell out of the back field, it wasnt a hail mary, it wasnt “trickory”, it was simple runs right up the middle. Back to the field goal thing. Kicking a field is trying to put points on the board, it is essentially the same thing as making 5 passes before being allowed to shoot in a basketball game. It says, “We are so good, and so arrogant, that we are going to take the 3 points, to spare you, because you are too pathetic to stop our offense”. Atleast when Belichick runs the same play, over and over and over again, you would think the Dolphins would recognize it, and have some pride, and stop it. Going for it on 4th and 7 (just a made up example), isnt because Belichick is making a point, and trying to score as much as possible, he is simply saying, I could take 3 points, but I dont want to put more on the board. So I am going to run a simple play up the middle, a play that shouldnt work, so you can get a stop, and keep us out of the end zone.
The next issue, about “running up the score”. The average lifespan of NFL players is 3 seasons. Just because this one single game is “locked up”, doesnt mean anything in the grand scheme of these players. An undrafted running back (BenJarvis Green-Ellis for example) has no guarentee at a long career in the NFL, of course he is hungry to score a TD, even if it is in mop up duty. He might not be on the team next year, even though Maroney is on IR, Green-Ellis, is essentially fighting Maroney for a spot on next years roster, and I cant fault him for putting it in the end zone. When you get a shot to play, you are playing for your life (unless you are an established superstar). There are bigger things going on, than simply “trying to run up the score”.
My last point, are the bitches that are crying about NE winning by 20 points. 20 freakin points!!!!!! BUT, they are the same people that rub NE fan’s noses in the fact, that in week 3, Miami whooped NE 38-13. That is a 25 point beat down, Miami debacled the Pats. How can you think that a 25 point beatdown is perfectly acceptable, but a 20 point NE win, isnt acceptable? I was not insulted by NE getting whooped by 25, it is pro football, you try to score every time you touch the ball. I have also read comments about people saying things like, “Miami still holds the lead in the head to head all time”. Ok, what does that have to do with anything? That goes back to all of the beatdowns that Marino laid on the Pats. If you are going to talk about “class”, and “not running up the score” in one breath, you cant talk about the all time head to head battle, or the 25 point beatdown from week 3 in the next breath.
Also, when did football, become a game of class? It is a physical, violent game. Do Raiders fans care if the Raiders win with class? Absolutely not, so why should you? Do Cowboys fans care if the Cowboys win with class? Absolutely not, they only care that their team won, so why do you care? Do Eagles fans care if the Eagles win with class? I think you understand where this going. We can all agree that there is a right way to win, and a wrong way to win, but that line is obviously not clearly defined. Some people think that kicking a meaningless field goal at the end, is winning with class. Think about it, if you are concerned with “running up the score”, that means that ALL “meaningless points” at the end of the game is running up the score, that includes TD’s, field goals, safeties…… Last week, people were bitching about the officials messing up the Steelers game, with the final score 11-10. Using the “rules” for “winning classy”, Polomalu should have simply layed down with the ball, rather than running it into the endzone, and scoring un-necessary points. Scoring that TD isnt classy, right?

What kind of an A-hole says “good” when someone gets hurt this badly? Do you laugh when you pass a car accident? Moron.
Florio: I hope you’re happy that you’ll now have an addition to Donald Thomas on the injury report. Injuries are discouraged in Miami: If you can walk, you can play. It’s a man’s game and there are so many pussies in this league who are held out when they have a hangnail. God forbid an organization would want to create an atmosphere of toughness. Let the crybabies squeal while our team has cojones. They may not be that good, but they aren’t whiny little bitches.

Bess will get the nod. Although Wilford should come out of his caccoon soon…..we need a big WR…..
Too bad we did’nt see Welker go down with a season ending injury…..would of been nice to see…there has to be some payback for the tampering that the Patriots did to aquire him. Also in the future we’ll be the team to beat in the AFC and god i hope we run up the score something bad on NE……

Umm, the Patriots never “tampered” with Welker, he was a restricted free agent, and they signed him to a contract that Miami simply couldnt match. They included language that affected the Dolphins, but not the Pats. For example: Miami plays half of there games in Miami (Florida). The Patriots play, at most, 3 games in Florida, in one single season (Tampa, Jax, Miami). So the contract that they offered Welker, simply said, that if Welker plays 5 games in the state of Florida, his contract would become guaranteed. It is the exact same thing that the Vikes did to get Hutchinson from Seattle. It happens all the time. It isnt against the rules, get over it
