Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com, who refers to receiver Chad Johnson a/k/a Chad Ocho Cinco as “The Ocho,” reports that Johnson has been fined by the team for the incident that resulted in his deactivation for Thursday night’s game against the Steelers.
Deactivated players still receive their game checks. So The Ocho got his $176,470.58 weekly gross payout.
There will be no further disciplinary action. But the question remains as to what will happen to The Ocho after the season.
PFTV ponders the topic.

Forbidden Donut, amazing, I was thinking the same thing when this story first broke out. I’m starting to wonder about these NFL front office folks. How many teams need complete over huals of players & managment? (Bengals, Browns, Lions, Rams, Vikes, Raiders, etc on & on). These bone headed decisions seem to be coming more frequent.

Gee I wonder how he (OchoStinko, Johnson, whatever his name is this week) would feel about re-negotiating his contract to allow the Bengals to clear a bit of cap space.

Why is Florio asking questions about Chad Johnson? His agent is Drew Rosenhaus…so the answer is “Next Question!”
