OCHO SNOOZE-O?

Our friends at 1530 Homer in Cincinnati tell us that, according to Bengals radio play-by-play guy Brad Johansen, receiver Chad Johnson’s one-game deactivation resulted not from any altercation, but from the fact that Johnson missed a team meeting. By oversleeping. Per Johansen, Johnson begged coach Marvin Lewis not to bench him for Thursday night’s game, but Lewis said that the rules are the rules. The move represents a dramatic change for Lewis, who had been criticized in the past by players who believed that a separate set of rules applied to Johnson. UPDATE: Johansen has posted the Ocho Snooze-o account on his blog, too.
