Titans running back LenDale White has pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace, according to Jim Wyatt of the Tennesseean.
The plea arises from an incident that occurred earlier this year in Denver.
White will serve no jail time. Instead, he’ll be placed on unsupervised probation. If he stays out of trouble for the next 12 months, the case will be dismissed.
The guilty plea exposes White to punishment under the league’s Personal Conduct Policy. It’s unclear whether he’d receive a fine or a suspension.
Since only six weeks remain in the 2008 season, it’s unlikely that a suspension would be imposed and an appeal be finalized before the conclusion of the current year.

Our judicial system has once again failed us. Another NFL thug WALKS without serving one day in jail.

Right on dustin…NFL players should totally be allowed to (allegedly) disturb the peace, destroy property, and resist police officers…then plead guilty to a deal that will let him walk away with unsupervised probation, and the NFL should leave him alone! Especially because you could argue everyone was “having fun” in Denver a few years ago, right up to the point one of them decided to pull a gun and fire indiscriminately, killing Darrent Williams….

tiktokdok: Yes, I forgot that most people get years in prison for disturbing the peace. But, if it helps, people that are totally ignorant on what they are talking about are usually the first to respond to an online blog. Instead of locking up the violent felons, we should be putting a non-violent non-habitual offender in prison? Luckily, our jails have plenty of room and an excess of funding!
But good for White, I like the really fat RB’s.

No one does time for disturbing the peace. This is no special treatment. Worry about yourself. If you don’t like it don’t watch the Titans. And by the way, Albert Haynesworth’s face stomping (twice) on Andre Gurode is far worse than anything White, Pacman, or (gulp) Michael Vick plead guilty to. Yes, I said it. I value people more than dogs. Let the games begin.

@ Mini Ditka,
You can value people more than dogs. I’m pretty sure 99.9% of people on this earth do. However, you can honestly say you care more about someone getting a boot to the face in the heat of battle and getting a stitch or two compared to torturing, starving, and murdering a hundred or so dogs?

Dear Mini Ditka,
Thou hast no brain.
Pacman left a man paralyzed for life.
Vick smashed dogs’ heads into concrete.
You obviously value neither people nor dogs.

Pacman didn’t paralyze anyone.
Gurode required 30 stitches. Yes, I honestly would rather have a dog die then receive a wound on my face that required 30 stitches to close.
Those of you so concerned about dogs being killed, tortured, etc.: Do you feel the same way about cows, chickens, turkeys, etc. Do you abhor cock-fighting? Do you watch NASCAR for the crashes? Do you hunt for sport?
If you are all vegetarians and non-leather wearing people, then cast your stones. Otherwise, what the heck is the difference? Fido seems like a friend but a steak at Ruth’s Chris is okay?

Guys, guys…
A boot to the face in the heat of battle and getting a stitch or 3 (or 30, which is how many Gurode actually had)? How about felony assault with a deadly weapon? Maybe even attempted murder. Please, let’s not minimize it to little more than a misunderstanding. I can buy that it was a heat of the moment thing but that will never excuse it.
Pacman Jones is a bad, bad man but he didn’t paralyze anybody. Didn’t kick anybody in the face with his cleats either. What he has done is jack a woman or three up and nobody should make the mistake of accusing him of something he didn’t do and letting him pass on what he’s actually done. Hammer that one home, violence against women is a recurring theme in the NFL. Terrible. Professional athletes beating on women. I can forgive Haynesworth before I can forgive these guys.
Michael Vick… how much humanity do you have to lose to kill essentially defenseless animals like they were doing it? As far as I’m concerned he is the worst of the three by far. Sadism like that… that’s the stuff they make serial killers out of. That doesn’t change the fact that all three are sorry excuses for human beings. You are arguing who’s the smelliest turd in the shitpile.

You guys are lame. Disturbing the peace is nothing. He probably woke up an 80 yr old woman at 9 p.m. Big deal. If the ticket is more than $50 it’s overboard. Please, it’s the least offensive offense someone can do.

I’d bet that at the end of the day, if Lendale can step away from the buffet, and
“if” my aunt had gonads, she’d be my uncle, if he can step away from Ruth’s Chris,
he could have a better career than any of his USC teammates. But I’d need 3/1 odds.
Let’s see what happens with Lendale. One strike, right?
As for Vick, he’s lower than pondscum/whalecrap. “They do it in the south”,
“they do it in Jamica”…really? But that’s why America lands rovers on Mars
and some guy in a gumbo hut in Cuba is really, really good at organizing dog fights.
We’re past it and those who aren’t should be.
Won’t it be cool when a really stud 22 year old 230 pound linebacker, say, from
THE Ohio State University or Penn State, meets a resurgent Michael Vick, on the rebound, and
maybe, just maybe, helmet-to-helmutt…because that linebacker stud REALLY
LIKES DOGS. But that’s just my daydream. I could be wrong. I wish I could pay the boy’s fine
I don’t “value” people more than dogs; I just love dogs. My personal experience
over a long, long time is that a good dog (and most are) represent the best part
of humanity. Unrequited, unconditional love, great friends, don’t bitch, don’t ask
for the remote, never a Broadway play or in-law dinner and trainable. Better than
any girlfriend or one wife I ever had. Seriously. So when Vick fights them, drowns
them and discards them, that’s not light comedy. LEAVE THE BUILDING, MAN!

Mini Ditka,
Why thank you, I actually am a vegetarian and non-leather wearing person. And I can personally say I would rather have Gurode’s boot to my face 5 times then one dog be injured in innocence. Every living being on this earth deserves respect. Those dogs (not one, but many) were all beaten, starved, electrocuted, drowned, etc. for NOTHING. All they did was to be born a certain breed of dog that has a more aggressive streak when brought up to be aggressive.
30 stitches and a week or month of uncomfortableness compared to innocent animals being tortured and made to fight each other for NO reason other than a human’s money and greed, I’d have to have more compassion for the animals that lost way more than a few weeks of playing a game.

Dogs are not human. They represent no part of humanity.
You indicate that you would want to harm Vick in a manner outside the rules of the game (that’s why you would pay the fine). Perhaps you need to re-watch one of your Charles Bronson movies.
You also indicate that your dog(s) are better than your wives or girlfriends because they: don’t talk, love you no matter what, and don’t require any interaction. Perhaps you are not a “people person.”
