The Giants ran for 207 yards, the third straight game and fifth time this season they topped 200 yards on the ground.
Said Giants RB Brandon Jacobs, “We’re capable of doing anything. You might see one of us fly one day, you never know.”
The Giants were even more physical than the Ravens expected.
Said Ravens LB Terrell Suggs, “Am I embarrassed? Definitely.”
Giants CB Aaron Ross had two interceptions and returned one 50 yards for a touchdown.
Ross’ touchdown came after Ravens WR Derrick Mason couldn’t reel in a high pass from QB Joe Flacco.
The Giants benched K John Carney in favor of K Lawrence Tynes because of high winds.
Ravens K Matt Stover set a NFL record for consectutive PATs but had a field goal blocked by Giants DT Fred Robbins.
A 77-yard run by RB Ahmad Bradshaw early in the fourth quarter iced the game for the Giants.
The Ravens’ leading rusher was QB Joe Flacco, who had 57 yards on the ground.

what is with this love affair with the cowgirls? the giants scorched first place B-more and not only did they run for 100 yards, they doubled it..Unreal. Kept hearing how ray ray wasn’t impressed with our rushing, and how he is shocked and disgusted how teams let holes like that open. Giants left bigger holes in that Run D than the holes left by Lewis’ knife the night of the SB. (murderer) do we really have to compare the G-men with Tennessee? Giants are too fast on D and collins wouldn’t be able to get away from his own shadow. They’ve also played tougher backs than johnson and white.
Instead we get to watch ESPN coo over the cryboys. it was like superbowl coverage..”I NOW PRONOUNCE THE COWBOYS HEALTHY!!” is how they started the segment and then it ended 4 hours later.

Next year. Ward and Jacobs contracts are both up. Unfortunately, the Giants can’t afford to sign both. Much as I wish they could keep Ward, it looks like he’ll be playing elsewhere. I am guessing that Bradshaw will probably be playing most of the second half after Ward is gone. Bradshaw IS a tough little SOB. No quit in him. Lots of fun to watch.

Well Ravens fans, so much for your vaunted rush defense… shredded like cheap paper for all to see. Of course, with the Ravens’ talent for never giving the opponent props, no doubt Ray Ray will boast how the Giants had no backs go over 100 yards invidually. And how the other guys’ didn’t do it, the Ravens let them. As usual.
Bigblue59 — as for those AFC teams, the Steelers dominated the Giants, you’re welcome for the fluke safety off the high snap after the regular long snapper went down with an injury. And nice job, both you and the Eagles, getting taken into OT by the mighty Bengals.

Hey FrankBurns, so much for that vaunted PIT pass defense that shut down Peyton Manning last week…….oh wait, that didn’t happen.
NYG kick my team’s butt very well. Surprisingly, Jacob’s best run had nothing to do with size/power, but speed instead. He didn’t even get touched by a Raven until he ran 36 yards around that missed assignment. Good vision. I have to agree that Bradshaw is better than Ward.
I’m glad FrankBurns is right and only giving up 65yards/game actually means nothing if you give up one 200 yard game every 11 years (sarcasm heavy). Shoot, the best defense ever (2000 Ravens) gave up a thirty-burger to JAX that year and still ended up giving the fewest points in a season, ever.
I wrote the NYG game off as a loss beforehand but was very surprised at the missed assignments and poor tackling. BAL definitely needs to fix that because the depleted secondary isn’t going to make up for it. I expect BAL to play much better, and barely miss or make the playoffs. Either way, their time is in the future, particularly with a rookie QB and the most guys on IR of any team in the NFL.
Oh, and the real hero of the NYG is that awesome offensive line. Give those boys some credit. They are the ones that really made it happen.

Not exactly true, but the Giants won the category that matters: Most Points. Roethlisberger threw 4 picks and you won by a touchdown. I’d be lying if I didn’t tell you I’d love to get a rematch at the end of the year but that does nothing to change the fact that your team beat my team the last time they played.

what game did you watch? the giants were in the red zone almost everytime, they dominated in almost every single category, actually in every category and the category that mattered most, the score.
the giants had 5 sacks to pitts zero, had 4 picks, and every other stat you can throw out there. they had two goalline stops and one i think jacobs was even in. not to mention the two flagrant and non called pass interferences on big gains by steve smith.
get real. steelers arent even making it out of the afc.

Hey BBWC, your MIND is crap. Spanked? What game were you watching.
Basically the Steelers were up 14-9 over the Giants, and only 3 penalties in a ROW the Steelers gifted to the Giants took away the TD that makes it 21-9, pack up the Big Blue bus and go home. The Giants were lucky in that game, not good. Your vaunted rush game was STUFFED, and Eli threw for about 20 yards. Wow what a “spanking.”
And as for bigblue59 and his “just another AFC team” comment… uh which conference do the CLEVELAND BROWNS play in?

Let’s see FrankBurns….I guess we were watching different games.
Here are the stats. Show me were the Steelers “dominated” the Giants. Must be the 12 more rushing yards. Yeah Eli sucked but not as much as your boy Ben. Let’s face it, if anyone dominated the game it was the Giants. They won and they deserved to win. Maybe they didn’t spank them but they certainly deserved to win this game. One goal line stance doesn’t qualify as dominating a game. Maybe one day Big Ben will live up to his hype. I know, he has a SB ring but so does Trent Dilfer (at least he beat the Giants).

Look at the end of the year it doesnt matter if you win by 1 or win by 30 . Giants beat the Steelers cant change that . But i know they dont want to play again this year . Sometimes you have to look past the stats to see a story . To have 4 turnovers and give up all those sacks in the game plus the penalties and still to be leading most of the game says alot doesnt it ? A long snapper here or there maybe it changes the game or it doesnt . Neither team really impressed . Our D and the Giants both played good D . Last year the Pats beat the Giants in the reg season . Playoffs what happened ? NEXT

As a lifelong Baltimorean and avid Ravens fan, I’ll just say the Giants were clearly the better team yesterday. In fact, the Giants are probably the best team right now in the NFL. As Giants fans themselves would remember, that’s no guarantee of a Super Bowl. I think most honest observers thought (I still think) the Patriots were the best team overall last year, although that obviously didn’t matter when it counted.
Anyway, the Giants kicked the Ravens in the teeth and in the ass. Count me as impressed, especially the way they ran at will.
At this point I’m hoping the Ravens can rebound and not tank the rest of the season. I’m hopeful about Flacco, but the defense is getting long in the tooth. And it’s been 10 years since I’ve seen the Ravens miss so many tackles.

BBWC1986 — you “deserved” to win that game because:
1. The Giants were behind almost to the very end of the game?
2. The Giants tied it on a gift bad snap that came from a linebacker forced to do it because the regular snapper got hurt on a freaky fall?
Tell me, which is it? Just wondering.

FrankBurns-
As I recall the Giants were leading at half time. They may have tied the game on a freak safety but they were about to get the ball back anyway. When they did get the ball back on the free kick they marched down the field and scored a TD which would have put them in the lead. What did Ben do when he got the ball back after the Giants scored their last TD? They had two chances and the first one they went 4 and out and the second Benny threw an INT.
Face it MrBurns. The Steelers lost to the better team. They were out-played and out-scored, end of story.
So as to your two questions….not sure what to say because like Big Ben they don’t hold up.
