A Seahawk comeback in the fourth quarter died when Cardinals CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie picked off his second pass of the game just after the two minute warning.
Seattle couldn’t stop Cardinals WRs Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald, who finished with 23 catches for 337 yards.
Seahawks CB Marcus Trufant was knocked out of the game with a concussion.
Cardinals QB Kurt Warner was 22-of-27 for 251 yards in the first half as the Cardinals built a 16-7 lead.
Said Warner, “It’s fun to know that we’re in the playoff hunt again. That’s really what I’ve been longing for. After having some really sweet years in St. Louis and having opportunities to compete for championships, that’s what you play for.”
After Cardinals S Adrian Wilson leveled Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck with an apparent helmet-to-helmet hit, Hasselbeck told him “good hit but expect something in the mail.”
Hasselbeck was intercepted three times in his return from a back injury.
Seahawks RB T.J. Duckett had five yards on five carries but scored two touchdowns.
Said Cardinals LB Chike Okafor, “Everything is beautiful and has turned out the way it was supposed to be.”
CB Ralph Brown played well to solidify a Cardinals secondary with a lot of injuries.
