The NFL has decided not to use the flex scheduling option for Week 13, meaning Bears at Vikings will remain the Sunday night NBC game on November 30.
The only change in kickoff time for Week 13 is for the Broncos-Jets game, which moves from 1 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. on CBS.
The other big games on Sunday, November 30, include Panthers at Packers, Giants at Redskins and Steelers at Patriots. But the league has decided to keep those games in the afternoon and Bears-Vikings in prime time.
The league uses flexible scheduling on Sundays from Week 11 to Week 17 in an effort to ensure that the best games get the best time slots.

What’s the point of flex scheduling if they don’t take advantage of it?
A Chicago-Minnesota game deserves to be one of those forgettable Sunday afternoon contests, not prime-time.

Hopefully the Bears can learn to play defense by then. Glad this game wasn’t changed, while the East Coast (only say that because most Cowboys, Eagles, ‘Skins and Giants fans like to point out how the NFC North is the worst, regardless of the fact they hosted the past 2 NFC Championship games) might not care about the NFC North, it’s still a possible fight for the lead in the division. Bears should be able to win this one, as long as Babich doesn’t decide to… well, show up, because if he does, who knows what defense show up for Chicago.
Bob Babich = Worst DC out there (I’m sure it can be argued, but seriously, how do you go from that 2006 defense to now when the only thing you lost is Ron Rivera? Hmm, sounds like a crappy DC to me)
Ron Turner = Worst OC out there (I’ve been calling for him to be fired since his first term as the Bears OC… no clue why they brought that moron back for a second stint)
Lovie, do the city of Chicago a favor and FIRE YOUR COORDINATORS!!!

Nice. Two crappy teams for everyone to watch in primetime. Really, this game is only interesting to Bears fans, Viking fans, and Packer fans. Oh, maybe Detroit fans since it’s a division rival game, and it’s wayyy better than watching their own team lose.

We will probably see the first flex change made in week 14, NE @ Sea. This was probably looked at as 2 division leaders before the season. Now with the injuries to Brady & Hasselbeck this year, neither is what was thought they would be.
Wash/Balt, Atl/NO, & Dal/Pitt would be better national options.

hey Florio, how many night games did the perfect Patriots play last year? is it just me or is the NFL intentionally keeping the 10-0 Titans out of the spotlight? maybe they’d get more primetime play if they videotaped their opponents…

Apparently you have forgotten that they can’t just move any game that they want…whatever affiliate is airing an afternoon game has the option to hold up to 5 games, so obviously they would want to keep a Titans game. Also, I don’t really think anybody foresaw the Titans becoming the hottest team in the league, hence the lac of regularly scheduled primetime games.

They’re battling for the top spot in the NFC North, so obviously either one can potentially make some noise in the playoffs if everything falls in place for them.

“is it just me or is the NFL intentionally keeping the 10-0 Titans out of the spotlight?”
Its like this every year. I’m just glad we finally got a home MNF game. I’m not saying this will be the case but let’s assume for one minute (for the sake of me making my point here) that the Titans finished the season 16-0 (not likely) AND won the SB (slightly likely)… after accomplishing all that they might get 3 primetime games next year.
Yet the Browns missed the playoffs all together last year and they have like 5-6 primetime games. Yeah.

Take it easy, Titan fans–Tennessee is playing on Thanksgiving so the game can’t be moved. The other good choices were PIT-NE (probably protected), DEN-NYJ, and CAR-GB, but MIN-CHI at least gets a division race in the picture.
They should have moved week 12’s Jets-Titans matchup to primetime instead of keeping IND-SD. The undefeated team nobody’s seen, Favre, two division leaders and possibly the top two AFC seeds. I sure don’t need to see any more of San Diego, and we’ve had plenty of Indy shoved down our throats. But I guess a point-fest is more appealing than a slug-fest.

Really? Is there a website that has the protected games? If so please post a link. I tried to Google it the other day but never could come up with anything.
Regardless the NFL should have considered scheduling more Titans games for SNF and MNF. I mean why do some teams have 5-6 primetime games and the Titans only have 1 (not counting that joke of a Thanksgiving game) after making the playoffs? The freakin Cardinals have more primetime after a shitty season last year!

Why? The Titans don’t have a huge national market and are historically a mediocre team, so why would they schedule them for 5 or 6 primetime games? I know, I know, Cleveland got it. I’m still scratching my head at that one as I have no explanation.
For what it’s worth, Carolina only has one prime time game, and Arizona and Baltimore each have two, a whopping one more than you do.
Teams like New England, Indianapolis, and San Diego have proven to be consistently good solid teams and have great matchups, which is why they get on several times a year. Teams like Dallas, Pittsburgh and Green Bay all have huge fan followings scattered throughout the country, which is why they see quite a bit of prime time action throughout the season.
And there’s no way anyone could have predicted the Titans success this season. It’s easy to look back and say “Look at our record, they should have done this or that,” but the truth is you didn’t know you would be sitting at 10-0 and neither did anyone else.
I promise if you guys make it to 13-0 or 14-0, you’ll get flexed into a primetime slot. And while you aren’t getting much love this season, you’ll get plenty of love next season. Until then, sit back and enjoy this season’s success.

Hate to tell ya, but the Titans are strictly regional. Nobody outside of TN gives a rats — especially when their marquee player is a DLineman. People will tune in to watch AP and the Bears always sell to a national audience. Titans don’t cut it. Sorry.

Frankly, the only time anyone see a Viking game is when they play a good team like the Packers or the Bears.
If it wasn’t a game involving the Bears nobody would care to see a bad Viking team which is lucky to be a .500 team.
NFL revenues depend on ratings but for integrity of the league they can’t have Brett Favre games, the Cowboys, Packers, and Steelers every week.
