So in the first game of the post-Favre era against their arch-rivals from Chicago, the Green Bay Packers are administering an old-fashioned butt whipping to the Bears.
As of this posting, the Packers lead by 31 points, 34-3.
If that score holds, it’ll be the largest margin of victory in the series since 1996, when the Packers blasted the Bears at Soldier Field, 37-6.
UPDATE: With a final score of 37-3, the difference of 34 points is the most since the Packers beat Chicago at Lambeau in 1994 by 37 points, 40-3.

If ESPN reported that 1996 stat, they would have mentioned that 1996 was the year the Packers won the Superbowl.

Our starting QB and LT actually got to practice this week. Go figure.

All around a great performance by the Packers today. Few mistakes were made and our offensive line really stepped up today. Hopefully we can continue to execute and play well, starting with New Orleans next weekend!

And, even more awesome, the Packer fans won’t have anything to whine about this week!

Sparta, the Packers O-Line didn’t step it up. The Bears D Line has been playing like they have all year and didn’t put any pressure on the QB.

just like i predicted on the “Helmetgate” comment board earlier in the week, the packers win, the queens lose, and the NFC North is ours to lose. great all around performance, i cant believe how well the line blocked and Grant ran harder than he has since last year. the pick by rodgers was embarassing, but he still played great, as nerdmann pointed out, it looks like actually practicing was the key for him to get back on fire. GO PACK GO!!!

Yeah, I dunno about that. They did a great job of opening some holes for Grant to run through against a Chicago defense that only allowed 20 something yards rushing last week vs. Tennessee, the top rushing team in the league. If that’s not stepping it up, I dunno what is.

There’s no team in the NFL called the Queens, and anyone that believes that there is, in all likelihood, too stupid to leave the house on their own, or do much of anything.
Now, the Pacqueers, on the other hand. . .

AGoonLeeA said in a post-game interview that some of the Bears D quit yesterday. Tommy Harris quit sometime in 06. Most overrated player of all time. Had a few good games, was pronounced All-World, and promptly vanished.
Who else quit on the Bears yesterday? AGoonLeeA wants to know!

Now the question is…..are the Packers really that good? Or are the Bears really that awful?
