Amid the current turmoil in San Fran, there’s a piece of positive news. We’re told that, late last month, center Eric Heitmann was signed to a new contract. Heitmann is now signed through 2011. He received a modest signing bonus of $1.25 million. His base salary for 2008 is $1.24 million. Next year, his salary is $800,000, with a $500,000 guarantee and $1 million in roster bonuses. In 2010, Heitmann is due to receive a base salary of $1.4 million and a roster bonus of $300,000. In 2011, the base is $1.95 million, with another $300,000 roster bonus.
