PACMAN NOT IN REHAB YET?

Despite reports that suspended Cowboys Pacman Jones has checked into a rehab facility for alcohol abuse, ESPN’s Ed Werder says that Pacman is merely in the process of selecting a treatment plan, which could include a stay at an in-patient facility. Werder’s report conflicts with a report from the Dallas Morning News that Jones already was in rehab. The strangest aspect of the latest ESPN report is that it also points out that ESPN had confirmed the report that Jones already was in rehab. And so ESPN is essentially reporting that ESPN was wrong. But let’s take a closer look at this one. What if Jones had entered an in-patient facility and then left, possibly after realizing the conspicuous absence of a metal pole connected vertically to the floor and ceiling? If Jones didn’t like having ‘round-the-clock “security,” he’ll detest spending four weeks in a place where he rarely if ever can do what he wants, when he wants, and how he wants. Still, he should give it a try. It’ll get him ready for his eventual place of residence, which will include lots of metal poles connected vertically to the floor and ceiling.
