Eight days after catching the first two touchdown passes of his career, Giants receiver Sinorice Moss didn’t play on Monday night against the Browns.
Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger speculates that Moss could be on the verge of being traded.
But Garafolo also concedes that the signs don’t point to any imminent moves by the defending Super Bowl champs. The Giants have been linked to Chiefs tight end Tony Gonzalez, but it appears that the Giants won’t pony up the kind of a package that the Chiefs desire.
Moss likely was scratched on Monday night because Plaxico Burress is back and Domenik Hixon is healthy. Still, even with the two touchdowns a week ago, it’s hard to call Moss, a second-round pick in 2006, anything other than a bust.
Moss is under contract through 2009, at base salaries of $445,000 this year and $530,000 next season.

Just curious:
Are Yankee fans also Giants fans or Jets fans. Or is it in the middle? I thought there was like a split by the side of NYC you live on.
And whatever happened to Kate Ballard?

Shuxion: Yankee fans like the Giants now cuz they won the Super Bowl. Usually its Mets fans that like the Giants though, and Yankee fans like the Jets. The whole AL/AFC NL/NFC thing.

It goes Giants/Yankees, Mets/Jets.
It’s mainly because Giants played in Yankee stadium for so many years and the Jets played at Shea.

Miami could use Moss. It seems that neither Ginn nor his family can play at a consistent level.

I’m a Yankee and Jets fan, but that’s only because I lived in Jersey.

Actually it depends. My dad growing up was a NY Giants baseball and football fan. When the baseball team moved to SF, and a few years later the National League returned to NY, he became a Mets fan.
So there are many Mets/Giants as well.
As far as Moss goes - did anyone think maybe he was held out of last nights game because he is terrrible? I will gladly trade him to anyone that will offer something of value (like a 7th round pick). But perhaps people are reading just a little too much into this…
