Just as the Cowboys are coming to grips with the absence of quarterback Tony Romo for as many as five weeks comes word that a veteran quarterback could be on the market.
Tom Kowalski of Mlive.com speculates that the Lions could be shopping quarterback Jon Kitna, and that Kitna could be traded to the 49ers or the Cowboys.
G.M. Martin Mayhew said on Monday that the Lions are engaged in exploratory trade talks regarding “a handful” of players. Kitna said on Monday that he doesn’t believe that the back injury that kept him out of Sunday’s loss to the Vikings is serious, and that he should be able to play in a week or two.
Kitna is signed through 2009. His current salary is $2.95 million. Next year, it drops to $1.95 million.
He didn’t travel to Minnesota for Sunday’s game, which raised some eyebrows regarding his overall status within the organization.
In San Fran, Kitna would be reunited with former Lions offensive coordinator Mike Martz. Current 49ers starter J.T. O’Sullivan was solid through the first three weeks of the season. In each of the last three weeks, his passer rating has dropped below 60.0. O’Sullivan had his worst performance of the season on Sunday against the Eagles, generating a 49.2 passer rating.

I man do I hope this meathead ends up in Dallas. I can’t imagine the number of interceptions the Eagles secondary will pull down if he’s playing.

Ugh! I swear to GOD! It’s just one retarded move after another with those idiot Yorks. Ever since those two trust fund ass hats wrangled the team from Eddie DeBartolo, this team has been pure shite.

With Fitzpatrick playing like crap, perhaps the Bengals would be interested in bringing Kitna back… Nah - that would fall under the “improving the team by spending money” category. I’m not sure Mike Brown would sign-off on that…
Here’s to to 0-16!!! Cheers!

What’s Detroit going to do, wait until Joey Harrington is cut by the Saints again and sign him? Kitna is the best QB on their roster.

Kitna to the Cardinals for Leinart and a third round pick. The God Squad Twins are together and Leinart has a new pool of tappable tail to peruse.

Kitna has not been the same since the preseason. Something happen in DEEP-ROTT. He has not even been trying to win in most games. (unless you count throwing the ball to the other team trying) He will not even run 4 yards for a first down.. I for one will be happy to see him gone. Martz can have his love child back. He’s been a pouty monkey ever since Mike was kicked out of town. BLOWDED UP THE WHOLE TEAM.

kitna blew up the whole team?
more like the idiots who never acquired talent or coached it to do what it could do (as opposed to forcing their systems in) blew the team up.
kitna has nothing to do with that defense being historically bad.
