Despite Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ contention that such talk is “ridiculous,” a suspension for cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones could come this week.
Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is studying the facts surrounding Pacman’s fight in a hotel restroom last week, and a suspension is still a possibility.
Schefter notes that when Goodell reinstated Pacman, he said Pacman would need to “conduct himself in a lawful and reliable manner” to stay in the league’s good graces. And while the absence of criminal charges against Pacman could serve as evidence that he’s remained “lawful,” the fact that some type of incident did occur calls into question whether he’s remained “reliable.”
Schefter reports that Pacman isn’t in danger of being suspended for the rest of the season, but that a one-game suspension is definitely possible. Goodell could make his decision by Tuesday.

This guy has already done the 1 game, 4 game, year long thing. Kick him out, there’s no need for him in the NFL.

This is simply a facade to make it appear that Goodell will punish JJ’s team. One week??? Why bother?? BS! Any other team than Dallas or maybe NE he would already be gone!

What bigger favor could the commish due Jerry Jones than to suspend Pacman for 1 game against the lowly Rams so that the Cowboys get a 5th round pick back from the Titans and no longer have to give them another 6th rounder?

Hmmm… Jerry needs pacman this week
against Arizona but doesn’t need him next week going against the rams. Now we know why the decision couldn’t come until after Sunday.

He won’t get any punishment. If he does, it’s just one game.

I’d be surprised if he suspended him with Terrence Newman out at least a month. Goodell doesnt want to leave “America’s Team” at a disadvantage. I think it would be hilarious if he did though, after Jerrah scoffed at the notion of suspension earlier in the week.
HOW ‘BOUT DEM CONVICTS!?!?!

Must be a conspiracy. First, Jones’ internal investigation took too little time. Now apparently Goodell’s investigation is taking too long. I wish I had a dime for every tear you chicks are shedding over this.

The credibility of the Commissioners office is bought and paid for by the owner’s, whose teams are put in a disadvantage, when thay dole out punishment for “flagrant” violation’s of the previous “hard line” approach, in protecting the league’s name.
What a joke…

as a cards fan you see where this went. He plays today (to shore up the dallas secondary which is banged up), THEN he gets suspended the the following game. Look for a big play or two from Pacman today against cards.

If Goodell doesn’t suspend Pacman, then he is basically saying: “I’m Jerry Jones’ bitch”.

If I had a dime for every time I saw your name chiming in with your two cents about a Giants related article, I’d be a very wealth man.
You must have shed many tears in the playoffs last year, I can’t think of any other explanation. Maybe I’ll send a letter to Goodell’s and ask him to issue a personal apology for the Giants hurting your feelings last year.
All that aside, you know Pacman is a troublemaker, doesn’t require any crying or bias to see that, the only bias would be that dude blindly defending him.
Oh wait, thats you! See ya next Giants post where you chime in with your hurt feelings, peace :p

“If Goodell doesn’t suspend Pacman, then he is basically saying: “I’m Jerry Jones’ bitch”. ”
Shoulda left that line at 3rd grade recess, kid. Simple fact is Goodell has made it pretty clear that if Pacman gets one more strike he’s gone forever. Seems to me that if Goodell views this as a big enough deal for any kind of suspension, it would have to be a lifetime ban. That ain’t gonna happen. Not for this, it’s not that big of a deal. Oh yeah the media is trying to make a big deal out of it and because of that I think Pacman might get fined up to a game check, but I’d really be surprised if he’s suspended even one game.

All of you guys need to take a realistic look at this pac-man mess. Ok he gets into alittle scuffle with someone he is with constantly((which for us would be a coworker) something that could happen to us if we were to get ticked off at someone) Then the police are called because people get kinda nervouse but when they get there they see it is no big deal because they see it was just a little scuffle and no one wants to press charges because it wasnt a big deal. The cowboys look into this and see that these are the facts and it isnt a big deal so they can see no dicipline should take place. Rodger Goodell sees this and if he is sensible he will see this is no big deal. The only reason this has gone on for so long is because people in the media needs a headline so they blow this out of proportion to try and get people riled up so that they can continue to use this story so that they can get a paycheck. It was the same thing with the TO mess that was happening last week. It was no big deal but the media needed a headline so they blew it out of proportion. The media knows there are just as many Cowboy Haters as there are fans and they knew they would read it. If you seriously look at this and and be realistic you will relize that all this talk is ridiculous and that iit was no big deal. Trying to make it into something more is Idiodic and sad.
