Fins S Yeremiah Bell summed up the state of the franchise pretty convincingly; ”We want that respect,” Bell said.  “After last year, we don’t have much.  How do you get it?  You go out and you take it.”

The Dolphins held San Diego’s high-powered offense to 202 yards, including a fourth-down stuffing of L.T. at the goal line.

Miami G Justin Smiley is already thinking big:  ‘With us it’s not just about, ‘Hey let’s see if we can win eight games this year  We’re saying, ‘Hey, let’s play in the Super Bowl.’  That’s what I’m talking about after seeing what we’re capable of doing.”

The Fins used the Wildcat package 11 times against San Diego — a five-play increase over its debut against the Patriots.

The Dolphins were able to take some steam out of Chargers KR Darren Sproles.

Former Miami OL L.J. Shelton, who now plays for San Diego, was impressed by what he saw:  “They’re doing things in a completely different way than we did last year.”

The Fins sat WR Derek Hagan in favor of Brandon London.

The move of Matt Roth from DE to OLB is finally paying dividends.

Injuries are hampering San Diego’s stars on offense.

Chargers WR Chris Chambers has a sprained ankle, but his status wasn’t known after the game; he bolted from the locker room before reporters had access.

The Chargers have been too inconsistent, and they know it; “It would be scary if we ever play four quarters,” said LB Shaun Phillips.  “It’s going to come.”
