Obviously miffed at pointed criticism hurled in his direction by the ESPN pregame crew, receiver Terrell Owens fired back during a weekly radio show on Tuesday, referring to former Cowboys receiver Keyshawn Johnson as “Sheshawn.”
Owens called Johnson “Sheshawn” on three occasions during the show.
As to the reason for the Monday night bashing of Owens — i.e., his postgame comments from Sunday during which he complained about not getting the ball enough times even though 20 of 58 plays went in his direction — Owens says that his words were blown out of proportion.
“It’s a matter of being frustrated with the loss,” Owens said. “It had nothing to do with the offense.”
Owens also said that, despite the number of balls thrown his way, some weren’t catchable. On the surface, that sounds a lot like a slap at the guy who threw the passes. Owens insists otherwise.
“That is not to say nothing about Tony Romo,” Owens said. “I am not going to be able to catch every ball thrown my way. Every pass was not a valid catchable pass.”
And Owens made it clear that he doesn’t plan to hold his tongue in the future.
“It’s me being confident in who I am,” he said. “It’s not going to be the last time you hear me say I need the ball.”
Here’s the deal. Though “Sheshawn” and his colleagues suggested that someone in the Cowboys organization (possibly owner Jerry Jones) needs to have a heart-to-heart with Owens, the better approach is to let T.O. be T.O. — and to persuade others who might be affected by his words and antics to ignore him.
It might be easier said than done. Because if Romo is working through his progressions and if he allows himself to be influenced at all by the possibility of Owens whining on the sidelines, in the locker room, or into a microphone about not getting enough balls thrown his way, there’s a chance that Romo will force the throw into coverage — and that a guy wearing the other-colored jersey will catch it.

If anyone can do it, it’d be the Cowboys. They let Charles Haley be Charles Haley, and it was successful. The difference is though, Charles Haley wasn’t talking about screwing the media members’ wives while jerking off at a press conference.

If the Cowboys string together 2-3 loss this season in a row, TO will be in for a huge meltdown.

Who ever thought it was possible to come up with so many cool nicknames on a name like “Keyshawn” — meshawn, sheshawn… awesome.
I still love the sign at the one game : “T.O. smells like B.O.”

I don’t know what’s coming over me, but I actually believe T.O. I think it is a harmless release of emotions that won’t hurt the Cowboys at all.
I better sit down. Maybe take some meds.

Keshawn is such a dumbass. Seriously, the only thing I can commend him on is when he scores, he looks for a kid or disabled person to give the ball to. It’s no dancing. But he should recuse himself when talking about being disruptive. It would be like if Emmitt Smith were to correct someones grammar.
BTW, Tony Romo has no problem trying to fit it in between four other colored jersied players and having it picked up.

The Cowboys are a team that needs their back against the wall, or else they have a tendency to slack. I think the pressure of losing is good for them. They didn’t take it seriously enough at the end of last year because they were thinking ahead to the playoffs, but a loss early against a div rival should wake them up.

Lets be real here, SheShawn can’t hold TO’s jock. TO is second only to Jerry Rice in career TD receptions. I think TO is off his freakin rocker, but no one needs to sit down with him, they just need to, coincidently I might add, “give him the damn ball”. I am sure Sheshawn can understand those words.

Here’s a simple math equation:
Keyshawn = TO - superstar credentials
Keyshawn is still bitter about being cut by the Cowboys to make salary space for TO. And, while “Sheshawn” is nice, I still prefer “Meshawn”.

It’s truly a shame that can’t keep his big mouth shut and put it all out on the field. T.O. has to be the biggest baby in the league. Grow up you big whiner. I wonder if the Hall of Fame could open a wing for dumb asses who destroy good teams.

I love Terrell Owens as an athelete. I know I’m supposed to say “he sucks” because I’m an Eagles fan, but that’s one thing I’ll never say. Owens needs to realize that when he steps on that field, the entire defense is shifts coverage toward him, therefore leading to Romo having to find someone else in single coverage. Honestly, I think they lost last week because they gave up on the running game. Felix Jones did not see any offensive action, not to mention that fact that Barber really didn’t get enough carries. I really do believe that if Dallas won the game, Owens wouldn’t have been as vocal in showing his frustration, no matter how many times he was thrown to. Either way, this Dallas team is loaded with weapons, and Owens isn’t the only one. They have 2 extremely solid running backs, and one of the best tight ends in the game, not to mention a monstrous offensive line. I just hope the Eagles can find a way to beat them when they come to Philly later this season.
