Apparently the authorities in Texas are taking a page out of Mike Shanahan’s playbook.
The Houston Chronicle reports that former Texans fullback Jameel Cook will not be prosecuted for possession of marijuana because he passed a polygraph test indicating that he did not know the marijuana was in his car.
The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office administered the polygraph. The report in the Chronicle doesn’t say whether the Sheriff’s Office is at all curious about how marijuana got into Cook’s car without him knowing about it.
Cook is still on the hook for not having a front license plate, not having a registration sticker, driving with an invalid license and failure to maintain insurance.
Cook has been a free agent since the Texans cut him on August 25, five days after the arrest.

You know what I get sick of? All these blind fans that will believe players are innocent just because he plays for their team! It pisses me off.
Anyway, in a completely unrelated note, Jameel Cook helped the Bucs win the Super Bowl in 2003, so I know he’s completely innocent.
