We all know that Emmitt can dance. We now know that he can sing, too.
During ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown, Emmitt Smith was following along with Young Jeezy’s “Put On” (I’m so old that all of that sounds made up to me) when the production truck called up a live shot of Emmitt, Stu Scott, and Steve Young.
Emmitt gets out the words “owe me sex” from the line “I feel like there’s still bitches that owe me sex” before he realizes that he’s on the air and then acts like the kid who just pulled his hand out of the cookie jar.
Hat tip to Robert Littal of Black Sports Online for getting this video posted.

haha, thats funny…EXCEPT, emmitt wasn’t singing. his mic was just picking up the background music in the stadium. he was doing his best ashlee simpson impression though. I love to knock on Smith, but sadly, he didn’t actually say anything.

I think that this is the question that should be asked.
Who’s taking bets on Goodell putting out a statement to stadiums this week?

You could tell that Steve Young probably (cough, cough) enjoys having him around to help break down the games. Emmitt is and always will be a butthead… but hey he’s happy. As they say, ignorance is bliss!

Now they’re getting on Emmitt because he mouthed out the words to a song that was being played CLEARLY on television at an NFL (family) event.
He likes the song and knows the words… so what?
He’s wrong for mouthing the words, but playing the song itself is ok?
You don’t like Emmitt Smith or Micheal Vick.. WE GET IT, ALREADY.

Yeah I agree with Royaltee & Gman
“Why is this song being played at a NFL stadium?”
I was told the the NFL office member from Chicago that the NFL put in a standard sound bite packages to all clubs to use during the game so all the sounds effects are consistent. This was done three years ago.
I was told that the NFl offers a standard sound effects package that most clubs use but the clubs have the right to play the music of the choosing.
So here is my question to all of you. Why is the NFl playing music and ganster rap music especially if it trying to get a cleaner imiage to the public.
I noticed in the last years that allot of clubs are playing allot of rap music too! What up with this??????????????

I wasn’t going to get into this. I think he was joking to start with, but my question to you is, what makes you think white people get every other internet site? How are they considered “white” and/or any other race sites? I have no problem at all with blacksportsonline, but in no way do I think any site that doesn’t specifically black is considered a “white” or whatever else site.

In the post game when Emmit, Steve, and Stu were discussing the Tennessee Titans, Stu intimated that the Titans were the favorite to win the division at this point.
Emmit then cut in with a “genius” breakdown of the Browns, Bengals, Ravens, and Steelers weaknesses and concluded that the Titans were indeed the favorite to win the AFC North at this point.
What’s the problem?
The Titans play in the AFC south
Stu then played the “awe trick question” card at which point Emmit shut his mouth and gave Stu a look as if to say “This is hard enough for me as it is, then you guys gotta pull this sh*t”
Its gotten to the point where even the guys Emmit is supposed to work with don’t take him seriously and even will go as far as to exploit Emmit’s stupidity. Hilarious, I hope they keep him around to be the whipping boy for a while longer

Howard Stern has a theory that the worse television is, the more entertaining it is. According to Stern, the best TV occurs when everything falls apart and a show becomes an absolute train wreck…like the Emmys.
By that standard, Emmit Smith is a truly great TV personality.

Evilmajortom, I was watching when what you’re talking about happened. The way I took it at the time was, Stu was really talking about the entire AFC and accidentally said division rather than conference. A couple seconds later he later felt stupid and used the opportunity to make Emmitt look like a fool. He is a fool, but I felt bad for him on that one.
As for the song, I’ve been to multiple Steelers games. You can hear the same songs on the radio. Big deal.

ESPN obviously never interviewed Emmitt Smith before hiring him. If Emmitt Smith can work at ESPN, anyone can. That network is a joke
