The Titans scored all three of their touchdowns off Vikings turnovers.
LB Keith Bulluck isn’t getting overconfident about the Titans’ 4-0 start: “We still have a chance to go 4-12.”
But Titans fans are giddy about their record.
Vikings QB Gus Frerotte accused Titans DE Kyle Vanden Bosch of hitting him with a cheap shot in the fourth quarter.
Said Titans coach Jeff Fisher, “Overall, I was pleased. We still can execute better. We can still do things better in all three areas. We are going to stress improvement as we move forward.”
Titans RB LenDale White had just 13 yards on 11 carries.
Titans DT Albert Haynesworth had two sacks.
Vikings DE Jared Allen says every player needs to be accountable.
Vikings MLB E.J. Henderson was benched for the opening series for disciplinary reasons, then injured his left foot in the second quarter.
Maurice Hicks averaged 27.5 yards on four kickoff returns for the Vikings.

Worse. Coach. Ever.
This team plays uninspired. They didnt know what play or formation on the OPENING PLAY OF A DRIVE. Childress is in way over his head. He has got to go.

One could say that Van Den Bosch “sacked” Frerotte. Thanks, I’ll be here all week. Try the veal.

Still making the same mistakes. 4 turnovers, unimaginative playcalling, allowing long returns on special teams. This team is playing uninspired football - just going through the motions. This fish stinks from the head down! I had such irrationally high hopes , too……

KVB dove at him right after he threw the ball and his helmet hit the guy dead on his nuts so unless his nuts are located below his knees, it was a legal hit. He needs to get over it.
Actually in my probably slightly biased opinion, it wasn’t even that late and shouldn’t have even been called. That call was the only reason the Vikings scored their 2nd TD. They were about to be held to a FG but got a 1st from the 1 b/c of it.

Vikings punted on 4th and 13, with right around 2:00 left in the game, down by 13 and out of timeouts. After the punt Tennessee took a knee to end the game. Glad to see we fought until the end. For that decision (and many others) Childress needs to go. I’m not saying if we would have kept playing we would have won, but I’ve seen it happen, tough to win by punting it away.

As a Vikings fan I didn’t see a big problem with that hit.

No, it was late. Despite Frerotte’s anger and embarrassment of now being the only QB in NFL history who’s only legacy is headbutting a wall and taking a spear to the nuts, VandenBosch already got what the play deserved - a 15 yard penalty.

No mention of why in G-D’s name Childress decided to punt the ball down by two touchdowns with 1:50 left. Granted, they were most likely gonna lose, but stranger things have happened. Tennessee got the ball and kneeled down to end the game…just like they would’ve done if they got the ball in Vikings territory if the Vikes failed to get the first down.
Bottom Line: Brad Childress quit on his team. That is inexcusable!
Time for Zygi to quit on Childress. We need a real football coach. (paging Bill Cowher.)

Childress calls the Viking’s offense the “West Coast” offense. Under his vanilla plan, it should be called the “Gulf Coast” offense.it is a disaster every week. Spend millions of dollars in the off-season and you are 1-3? FIRE CHILDRESS ( Sam Drucker) now!!!

I’ve seen the last two games and can say that I think Ferotte is a HUGE improvement over Jackson - at least in terms of performance this year. Those of you making comments about GF indicating he is somehow sub-par are just not watching. The problem really is poor play calling and receivers who just simply can NOT catch the dang ball. If the receivers he has hit on the hands in the past two games hung onto those passes - the Vikings would have scored about 28 more points.

It’s the system, not the quarterback. Childress and Bevell must go.

newulmguy, Gulf Coast Disaster Offense - LOL - there’s all kinds
of references that can be drawn between the Vikings’ season and
disaster, toxic swamps, alligators loose on the streets, etc.
It’s great material for whatever form of expression, haiku maybe…
Lurtsema, sadly, it’s like the Aerosmith tune, “Same old story,
same old song and dance”. It reminds me of the days when Gary
Cuozzo would hand off to Bill Brown up the middle for no gain
twice, then he’d throw it out of bounds before punting. Back
then it was, “Give it to the defense! Let them score! Yee Hah!”
a brief interlude
between money and it’s source -
crumbling finances.
a house built from cards -
our legislators knew it.
hopeless politics.
all the crap we hear
from elected officials -
same old song and dance
