Bills cornerback/kick returner Terrence McGee has a sprained knee, and it will keep him out of Sunday’s game between Buffalo and Arizona, according to Tim Graham of ESPN.com.
An MRI revealed no structural damage, and McGee could be ready to return on October 19, after the team’s bye week.
Rookie Leodis McKelvin is expected to replace McGee against the Cardinals’ duo of elite receivers.

It will be Ashton Youboty replacing McGee. Leodis McKelvin will serve as the Nickel corner. It’s a big loss to the Bills going up against the Cardinals, but we should be competitive with Youboty and McKelvin.

Yea, Youboty will be the one starting. McKelvin will be the nickel and he will have to return punts and kickoffs this week too.

I think Youboty should stay as the nickel back- He obviously knows the position pretty well and has more size (I think) than McKelvin, meaning that he is better suited to replace the OLB on passing downs and although Youboty has made a lot of plays on third down, I would rather see McKelvin cover a receiver one on one because of his speed. If a player goes down the idea is shuffle around as few people as possible. Moving Youboty to starting corner and McKelvin to nickel would just cause more confusion than neccessary.

If McKelvin and Youboty can come up big in this game, what a testament it would be to the Bills’ last few draft classes and to a young but talented roster.
It’s going to be a big test, but I’m excited to see how they do.
