Maybe Pittsburgh native Mike McCarthy learned a thing or two from the Steelers on how to handle information regarding a quarterback’s injured shoulder.
With Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers saying that he suffered a separated or dislocated shoulder on Sunday against the Bucs, McCarthy called it only a bruised shoulder in his postgame press conference.
Rodgers was replaced by rookie Matt Flynn, but later returned. Rodgers will undergo testing on Sunday night and Monday.

Gee, what a surprise–the coach who calls a slenic tear “not seruious” and “nothing life-threatening” calls a separated shoulder “bruised”…He’s either Ignorant or just a bad liar. (I vote for a combo platter)

What a shock that a fragile QB like Rodgers would get hurt. Time to start the Flynn era in GB. LOL.

Rodgers has one bad game (while he was running for his life) and the Favre Nutthuggers suddenly come out of the closet.
Rodgers has to learn to slide.

well maybe if mike mccarthy could call some intelligent plays, his first year quarterback wouldn’t have to be subjected to constant pressure and so many chances to get hurt. stretch play on first down inside your own ten, huh? WOW…. obvious throwing situation, and you run trips right with no weakside protection? WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!thanx

Rodgers got absolutely rocked at the end of that game, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s out for a while.

Greenbay Packers General Manager Ted Thompson is a genius!
(Sarcasm) He gets rid of a hall of fame QB because he is
old and the future is now at hand with QB Aaron Rogers.
Part of Bret Favre’s experience has allowed him to avoid
injury. Well Ted Thompson once again your a genius!

You’re a dumb ass for hating Ted Thompson. I guess if it were up to you the Packers would just have a bunch of old players like Favre, Green, Henderson, Freeman, Sharper, Whale, Rivera, Winters, hell you probably bitch they don’t have Bart Starr anymore. Every veteran that has been let go has been replaced by solid young talent that has potential to be good or even great. If you can’t be a fan during the tough games go be a Jets fan you pansy.

Ted Thompson did a great job in rebuilding the Packers.
However something happened in the Bret Favre soap opera
to allow Thompson to forget about the 39 year old QB who
had, unlike Dan Marino, remained almost injury free. Favre
was a huge part of the Packers getting to the NFC Title
game. You can not just replace him with a very good young
often injured QB. The Packers were perfect for Favre and
Favre was perfect for the Packers…so if it is not broken
Ted Thompson you give the Packers one more year of Favre.

I seriously hope it’s nothing serious, but I was saying this all off season. I was being hit with 1 ratings every single time. What a stupid move by the Packers giving up Favre. It wasn’t because I didnt have faith in Rodgers, I do, just not when he’s taking big hits. I remember when they played New England. Favre had 100 and some consecutive starts - gets hurt - and then Rodgers comes in for ONE SERIES, and lands himself on the I.R. for the year.

The Packers need to work on running the football up the middle, between the two guards. They are trying to run outside too much, which is a bad strategy, especially against the Cowboys and the Bucs. Those fans who constantly complain about Thompson or the Favre trade are just proving that they aren’t very knowledgeable about football. The Packers had an amazing run last year and a large part of that was avoiding injuries. They were also much stronger stopping the run last year. This is a young team that will have some inconsistent games. Rodgers is going to be a good QB, but he will have some off games, just like Favre did. The whole team needs to play better and they will.

Aaron Rogers is hurt yes, but one thing that people forget is that Brett Favre also gets hurt. You can’t judge Aaron for getting hurt because people forget that football is a violent game, it’s what you do when your hurt. Can you tolerate the pain and still perform, we’ll see but when A.R. broke his foot against New England people seem to forget that he played the whole second half with it, so you can’t judge him for not being tough. It’s that he was a second string quarterback at the time why push your way back to the sidelines the next week just for the foot not to heal right. A.R. will be alright and he will play fine this weekend.
