Jay Glazer of FOX reports that the Kansas City Chiefs called the Browns this week to inquire about the availability of quarterback Brady Quinn.
The Browns declined to discuss the possibility.
The move suggests to us that the Chiefs could be using their very high 2009 first-round pick on whoever emerges as the top quarterback in the draft.

Apparently, the Chiefs offered Larry Johnson for Quinn. Doesn’t make much sense to get Quinn if you don’t have an O-Line and limited receiving targets. And if you trade LJ, you don’t have a backfield. What a MESS.

The funny thing is the Browns will likely try and move Derek Anderson after the season not Quinn. Anderson’s stock will keep dropping all year. They wont get better than a 3rd for him.

Anderson was the most overrated player in football last year, Quinn’s the Browns MVP at this point. He’ll start the week after their bye.

I’m sure Quinn sent the front office a thank you note for not sending him to hell.

what sarcasm said.
If the Chiefs want Derek Anderson, go right ahead.
Quinn? Nope. He’s our QB of the future, not DA.
