Former Texans and Redskins G.M. Charley Casserly made a bold suggestion on The NFL Today for CBS, stating that he thinks something is wrong with Patriots receiver Randy Moss.
Casserly said that, based on film study, Moss is either injured or has lost a step.
And Casserly also suggested that Moss isn’t showing much effort in his blocking.

He doesn’t have his favorite metrosexual quarterback playing with him anymore, so he’s starting to revert to the “real” Randy Moss.

He has the same illness he had in ‘05 and ‘06. I believe it’s called Aaron Brooks syndrome.

Anyone who saw some of the shots on CBS’ telecast last week could draw this conclusion. I don’t know if it was effort (a la his Oakland days), if Moss is injured or if the Patriots game plan simply wasn’t focused on Randy. But either way, that was not typical Patriot era Randy Moss. Darrelle Revis is good, but not two catch for 30 yrads (Moss statts) good.

Boston area metermaids better watch out. Moss is just a frontrunner.
Not willing to work within one of the most efficient systems in the NFL.

Moss not blocking? This is not news. Loosing interest in playing, also not news.

Considering that Oakland coaches said Moss “lost a step” last year, just before breaking the NFL touchdown record, this is a good sign.

So can we stop putting him in the “greatest receiver” discussion now? He showed in Oakland, and he will show before this season is over (if he isn’t starting already), that he only gives a complete effort when he feels like it. Mentioning him in the same breath as Jerry Rice is an insult not only to Rice, but to hard working players everywhere…

Why dont you just call it what it is. Moss dont give a S#@t. As soon as Brady went down for the season Randy wrote it off as a lost season. So at this point his is going to just go out and preserve his body. You saw the same thing when he was stuck in Oakland. Randy plays when he wants to play. And he only wants to play when he knows he is going to get the ball, win, or set a record. It has nothing to do with his age. Its his attitude…

They should trade Moss for Quinn so the Pats can have a quarterback. Moss isnt making the extra effort, he is lost w/o Tom Brady.
