The folks at CompleteColorado.com have broken several stories this year regarding the off-field activities of Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall.
Well, they’ve got another one.
According to the web site, authorities in Fulton County, Georgia have decided to pursue criminal charges against Marshall. Specifically, misdemeanor battery charges were filed on September 10, stemming from an alleged incident that occurred on March 4, 2008 between Marshall and his then-girlfriend, Rasheeda Watley.
An initial court date in November or December is expected. Coincidentally, the Broncos travel to Atlanta for a game against the Falcons on November 16.

*sigh*
Maybe Shanahan should handcuff Marshall to Rod Smith for the rest of the year, see if that works…

I bet the whole incident started because she tried to re-gift something. Maybe a label-maker.

The real question is whether the commish KNEW/WAS INFORMED about the March4th transgression (for which the suspension might count). If not, BM (and my Broncos) are screwed.
Also: why now? What was the County waiting for? Why six months later?

So will this result in more discipline from the league? They may be new charges, but the incident occurred before he was disciplined the first time, and it was known about.

Hey just get Ed Hochuli to take care of this for them like he did against the Chargers. He is a lawyer and he does do the Broncos favors. No big deal right?

Rasheeda Watley? The same Rasheeda that’s taking me to court? Got to be a coincedence.
I bet this chick has some relation to Robin Givens, or maybe she enrolled in Given’s 4-Hour Course on Gold-Digging!

Seeing as this is new charges to an old incident I’m not too worried about league action. It can take time for actual charges to a crime to be followed. Maybe when he was arrested in March they didn’t have enough evidence to charge him then. Makes me wonder what they have now that gives them enough to charge him. Either way the man did his time for the league and I hope he can clear this up fast and easy.
What Brandon needs to do is keep his mind on football and put that part of his life behind him.

This couldn’t be a ploy on the part of Fulton County to keep Marshall out of the game against the Falcons could it? I really hope the judicial system doesn’t take a game so seriously that they decide to criminally charge someone just to mess with a game.

Well, it’s not really new per say. This all from the same incident. I normally do not like to stick up for douchebag players that keep getting in trouble, but to pursue battery like 7 mths after the fact? Misdemeanor battery no less, which could be as simple just pushing someone out of the way when they are coming at you like the crazy bitch Rasheeda Watley probably is. Just when he is getting ready to play again and move on with his life they pursue some more charges, how CONVENIENT. It reeks of bullshit

This is a very old charge and for those of you who are into facts, this is a very crazy chick who is all about extortion. Her lawyers are also the ones with dollar bill signs in their eyes.
If this charge had any teeth, do you think Goodell would’ve reduced B-Marsh’s suspension to one game?

This is old news. Perhaps the fact that there might be charges is new, but the incident is old. The NFL was aware of all incidents, which was the reason B-Marsh was suspended at all without there being a conviction for anything. This woman has been nothing but trouble and it’s a good thing Marshall has rid himself of her.

The only reason PFT posted this is so Florio could pile the points on the Turd Watch against Denver. His numbers are all inflated against the Donks and he knows it. If there was ever a Turd to watch I would give it up on some idiot that gets a borderline DUI and start adding the turds that Florrio posts on this site. What a !@#$%

God is this website full of idiots or what? None of this is new in any way. The incident happened in March and Goodell was fully aware of it when he handed down the suspension. I guess now the city is going to try and pursue charges.
Marshall has been totally clean and away from trouble since all this has happened.

This is an old incident, and these are just “charges.” He will not be suspended anymore and I honestly thinking the Broncos have him wrapped up now, so he will stay out of trouble. Also, all these charges come from one girl, I bet the biatch is crazy, and is trying to get $$$. B. Marshall is here to stay, causing massive headaches for the entire AFC.
