The San Diego Chargers have announced that linebacker Shawne Merriman has undergone surgery to repair the torn PCL and LCL in his knee.
And, as usual when involving surgery on a pro athlete, the procedure was a success.
Dr. John Uribe and Dr. John Zvijac performed the operation.

would be funny to read though:
“The San Diego Chargers received unfortunate news Saturday when they were told by Dr. John Uribe that the surgery on Shawne Merriman didn’t go completely as planned. ‘I went in to snip that ligament thingy,’ Uribe stated, ‘and darn it if my hand didn’t slip and snip a different, healthy ligament. Nobody’s perfect, ok? My bad.’
Merriman thus had one ligament fixed, but now will need to rehab on a separate ligament surgery as well. ‘He’s a hard worker, and he has steroids anyhow, right? He’ll be ok,’ said Uribe.
