The Seattle Seahawks were in desperate need of adding a wide receiver, and now they’ve added two.
On the same day that Seattle signed wide receiver Koren Robinson, they’ve made a trade with the Denver Broncos to acquire wide receiver Keary Colbert, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports is reporting.
Per Glazer, Seattle sent a late-round draft pick to Denver in the exchange.
Colbert, who signed a free-agent contract with the Broncos this off-seasonĀ after playing his first four seasons with the Panthers, had not yet caught a pass this year. His best season was his rookie year, 2004, when he started 15 games and caught 47 passes for 754 yards and five touchdowns.
The Seahawks needed to bolster their corps of receivers because Nate Burleson, Bobby Engram and Deion Branch have all suffered injuries.

Dude! Maybe I can get a tryout! The last time I ran, my time was right at 4.3!
….in the ten-yard dash.

They still don’t have a receiver. Colbert sucks and want even catch a cold in Seattle.

Not to mention Ben Obamanu (IR), Logan Payne (IR), and Seneca Wallace out a month. Seattle’s in sad shape. Arizona might have a shot at the NFC West by default.

So Denver went into the season with Marshall, Royal, Darrell Jackson, Stokely and Colbert at WR? That’s pretty deep.

The Panthers did in the 1st round.
The only reason I might have wanted Keary Colbert around another season is so we could have had Jon Stewart and Colbert on our roster at the same time.

You said it all in the first sentence. Desperate. Maybe it will turn into Denver has to send them a late round pick for taking him off their hands. Coach Kevlar got out from under that mistake.

The Seahawks wouldn’t have had to trade for a receiver if the refs and East Coast Bias hadn’t screwed them, Florio!

Colbert was Carolina’s 2nd rounder in 2004, not their 1st. He’s also the worst WR in football. He drops as many balls as he catches and couldn’t get open if he were being covered by a high school DB.

Colbert walked into the Seattle locker room and says, “It’s French, Bitch”.
