The Seattle Seahawks were in desperate need of adding a wide receiver, and now they’ve added two.

On the same day that Seattle signed wide receiver Koren Robinson, they’ve made a trade with the Denver Broncos to acquire wide receiver Keary Colbert, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports is reporting.

Per Glazer, Seattle sent a late-round draft pick to Denver in the exchange.

Colbert, who signed a free-agent contract with the Broncos this off-seasonĀ  after playing his first four seasons with the Panthers, had not yet caught a pass this year. His best season was his rookie year, 2004, when he started 15 games and caught 47 passes for 754 yards and five touchdowns.

The Seahawks needed to bolster their corps of receivers because Nate Burleson, Bobby Engram and Deion Branch have all suffered injuries.
