According to Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post, the agent for Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin has said twice in the last eight days that Boldin would like to play for the Miami Dolphins.
The comments from agent Drew Rosenhaus came during guest spots on The Joe Rose Show, where we make a weekly pit-stop every Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. EDT.
On September 4, Rosenhaus acknowledged that he and Boldin have been pushing for a trade, and that Boldin would ”look nice in a Dolphin uniform, huh?”
On September 11, Rosenhaus said that “there’s a guy that [the Dolphins are] playing against that wouldn’t mind being in a Dolphins uniform in Anquan Boldin. . . . It’s a shame that he’ll be wearing a Cardinals uniform against the Dolphins, than the other way around.”
The Cardinals hold Boldin’s rights for three more seasons, through 2010. Boldin has said that he intends to fulfill his contract and then sign with a new team. The Cardinals have refused to trade him.

Another Drew Rosenhaus player making waves in the NFL. Although, I do understand and agree with Boldin more than I did with a few of his other players. Im not really sure why he wants to go to Miami though.

Why in the hell would he want to go from one shitty situation to another? That’s like Brady Quinn getting traded to the Giants. Makes no sense on the player’s part.

The best thing about Drew Rosenhaus is that he refuses to realize how the NFL works! With both Lito and now Boldin and (used to be T.O) in all 3 cases he has no leverage to stand on! Lito has been hurt so no team is willing to sign him long term (including his own!) boldin is under contract for three more years and T.O. was under contract for 6 more!!! All the while with both Lito and Bouldin, Drew was the guy that got the deals they are in now!!!! Not to mention (and it seems like NO ONE including this website has EVER mentioned) T.O. technically lost money by signing with the Cow-Girls! He would have made 9 million dollars the year he left the Eagles and instead made 5 with the ‘Girls…..thats 4 million lost right there…not to mention the Eagles never would have cut him if he kept his mouth shut so he would have made a total of 47 million instead of the 25 he signed to with Dallas!!! When are these players gonna realize that Rosenhaus sucks at his job…..just ask Och0 Cinco and his new contract!!!

and the title of this article should be “Rosenhaus wants Anquan to be a Fin” because no where in the article does it say that Anquan said he wanted to be a fin……drew said it! but then again, there is a Rosenhaus book ad on this site so go figure!

I think Boldin’s abilities would be wasted being a fin… More power to them, but Pennington does not have a deep ball, or at least one that is accurate. If he tries to throw one, he will need his 543rd surgery to repair his shoulder.

The guy has a contract for two more years, but his agent is running around blathering about the Dolphins this and the Dolphins that. what a total POS Rosenhaus is. Of course, he only cares what he gets paid, not what people think about him.

Boldin obviously wants to go somewhere that prioritizes winning over penny pinching.
And though Chad Pennington may not throw the deep ball, he isn’t going to be around much past next year anyway… Chad Henne is obviously going to be the man there.

Is there any kind of tampering that this might be close to for Rosenhaus? And is Anquan a deep threat at all? I thought he was more of a possesion receiver.

Shocked! I am shocked that Drew Rosenhaus would stir up the pot in order to get a player traded!
What a D-bag. The sad thing is, he doesn’t give to shiznits about his players, he just wants them to get another up-front check of guaranteed money so he can get a cut.
It needs to be said again. What a D-bag.

Even if Miami wanted to do this, who could they trade on their team for even value? Seems like it could only be draft picks

Drew is a salesman and he’s just playing to his audience. The more chaos he creates for the Cardinals, the sooner they’ll trade Boldin.

Anquan’s from South Florida… that’s why he said the Fins.
And the Fins have picks to work with… see JT in a “Warshington” uniform.

The guy wants to play for the Fins largely because he’s from Pahokee, FL (near Lake Okeechobee) and has a hundreds of family and friends nearby…That’s the deal

jazzmsngr-
You really nailed it. Yep, Drew just doesn’t get the NFL. In fact, what really happened is a Leprechaun swooped down and gave him 100’s of millions of dollars, and he parades around pretending to know what to do. And then all the other agents come to you for advice.
I love when people, who know absolutely nothing, like to tell successful professionals that they don’t know what they’re doing.

I know that if I were Boldin I’d be thinking “I really need to get out of this losing culture and into a real winner…like…Miami!” To be immediately followed by other incredibly intelligent thoughts like “Maybe I’ll hire Vince Young as a career counselor” and “I think I should start basing my diet on high-protein foods like twinkies.”
