Though coach Jeff Fisher said on Sunday that he didn’t believe quarterback Vince Young’s sprained left knee is serious, Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that Young has a torn MCL, and that he is expected to miss two-to-four weeks.
Young will undergo an MRI on Monday to confirm the initial diagnosis.
A torn MCL doesn’t require surgery unless it’s completely torn. Otherwise, the ligament can heal on its own.
Schefter also reports that the Titans have contacted free-agent Chris Simms.

So do we move up in the PFT Power Rankings now that Collins is our QB? That’s gotta be worth like 5-6 spots.

Any word on Chris Johnson’s injury. He was hurt on the same drive as Young.

Chris Johnson was back on the field later on, though he never ran the ball again.

So who will Collins favor in the WR department?
Who will be Collins number one target? the go to guy (beyond C.Johnson) and how does this effect Lendale’s status?

So let me summarize the Vince Young saga 2008:
he’s not improving his skill,
he’s disinterested,
and he’s injured..?
Oh oh. Coach must be looking at Plan B scenarios…..

Why are these supposedly smart football people interested in Chris Simms for their QB? He is a stick boy, wooden indian mobility and can’t get the ball over the defensive line. Any time that wants or needs to win, will be disappointed and losing with Simms at the controls. Easy to sack and fumbled….plus whimpers when sacked or pressured.

Damn! Now the Titans may realize they have a better chance at winning without Young.
With Collins, the Titans are going to be tough to beat, and as much as it pains me to say it, the Titans may be the best team in the AFC South.

Even a complete (isolated) MCL tear doesn’t necessarily require surgery. It will usually heal just fine on its own as long as there isn’t so much peripheral trauma that other things are yanked around as well.

Why do they call him Uncle Rico? Because he can throw a football over the mountains or because he will soon be living in the middle of a field in a van.
