In our final PFTV segment of the week, we look at the teams expected to do well that might not do so well in 2008.
If we mentioned the Giants (frankly, we can’t remember — it’s been a couple of days), please ignore it. They won last night, which means that they’ll win a second straight Super Bowl, right?
Here it is.

Lately your videos seem to portray you as rather cranky. Something wrong? Perhaps you could give your little buddy a wedgie and relieve the tension. No one likes a cranky Florio. Buck up, Buttercup.
Man the (GU) Gene Upshaw patch looked hideously big on the players uniforms. Too bad his name wasn’t Francis Upshaw.
The NFL needs to make that patch much smaller.

I’m not sure that the patch needs to be made smaller, but it does look like a third grader designed it…

Florio,
dont be doging my Stillers. dont tell me you are turning into a Browns fan?
its allright i will let it slide you must of been high or something to think that the stillers are not going to make the playoffs. the chargers are over rated, and the Pats are not going to do shit this year. everyone is going to be ready for them and they are going to be 2 games above 500 this year, i am willing to put 10 bone on that
suck it browns!

Hey Florio, what gives your picking the Steelers not to win. I want to know what your smoking cause I definitely want some. The Ravens are at least 3 years away from making a run. The Bungles are the laughing stock of the AFC north, Chrisy Henry and Ocho Retardo, need I say more about them. Then there is the Cleveland Mudpies(Browns). I give Shaun Rodgers till week 6 and he will dogging plays again. Then you have a 4-3 linemen playing a 3-4 defensive end, good luck picking that up. Don’t worry Cleveland your team looks good on paper, TOILET PAPER HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
GO STEELERS!!!

I for one am coming around to the notion that Steelers are going to fall from the One PPG Place and split in two. What components do they have that makes Pittsburgh fans so optimistic? It’s a tough division, and the whole defense and offensive line have numerous question marks. Besides Running back they do not have an elite offensive player. Ward has lost a step, and the other WR are average. Roth is pretty good QB but not great. His success is greatly dependent of the effectiveness of others as he is lacks the ability to be a play / difference maker.
Finally, ClevelandSucks can’t you at least try to make sensible, rational, logical, and civil arguments on why you think Florio is wrong. You come across as an meat-head and add nothing of value to these boards. Please find another hobby that doesn’t pollute my environment.

You have the Browns ranked 14 and the Steelers somewhere in the top 8.
I call ’shenanigans’.

Fine, whatever. Thats why they play the game
BeerCur nice try on the “average recievers and ben is good but not great” not a good argument considering he and Hines Ward made the pro bowl last year and santonio holmes is set to have a huge year. Bens also probably the best play making quarterback in the league, and thats not an opinion. Browns fans will be crying for Brady Quinn by week 5 and Braylon Edwards is the ONLY talented player you have on EITHER side of the ball. Last year was a fluke, Browns arent gonna scare anyone this year, especially when they start 0-4 like Floirio said

What about the Packers?
They were relatively injury-free last year and won a boatload of close games in the 4th quarter that could have gone either way (they easily could have been 9-7 instead of 13-3 without some fortunate breaks).
Now they have a 1st-place schedule, made absolutely no upgrades in talent even though they let some key guys go, still have one of the least experienced teams in the NFL, this year no one will overlook them like they did the first half of the season last year, they have an injury-prone QB with a lot of pressure and minimal game experience, they have two rookies as backup QBs, a weak and banged up middle of the O-line, a RB with a bad hammy, old guys on the corners, multiple problems at DT, and they supposedly have changed their offense.
Oh yeah, they also ran off their iconic HOF quarterback, had the most distrupted offseason of any team in the NFL, and their fanbase and lockerroom chemistry could collapse if things start going wrong and it is perceived to be tied into the way the team was mismanaged in the offseason.
But other thn that they should be able to live up to expectations.

Green Bay was a lock for this implode award. I won’t hash back over all the good points by bgman, but this favreless team will take on a completely different look. Just like the look on the faces of the team that thought they could continue winning without the main cog.
Favre will be laughing, McCarthy will be under his desk in the fetal position sucking his thumb by game 5. Thompson will shave off his hair and join the RNC welcoming committee.
