With quarterback Joey Harrington agreeing to terms not agreeing to terms with the Baltimore Ravens, his quest for a new team continues.
Per a league source, Harrington will be visiting with the New Orleans Saints.
The Saints moved temporarily from Louisiana to Indiana due to Hurricane Gustav. Presumably, Harrington will be meeting with them there.
Harrington, the third overall pick in the 2002 draft, has played for the Lions, Dolphins, and Falcons.
He still could end up signing with the Ravens.

Good for him. Hopefully he gets a job. He’s not as bad as everyone thinks he is. If you watched him in the Falcons games last year, he was making throws on point that receivers were dropping. I counted 7 or 8 in one game where he went something like 13 of 28.

He could end up signing with the Arena Football team, that statemnet is more plausible.
Meanwhile, he racks up some pretty impressive frequent flier milage, the third overall pick of the NFL draft and exhibit #1 for the firing of Matt Millen as the Lion’s GM. (or it is 2 or 3 behind the WR’s)

he played some good ball with the Fins too. If he had been given the reigns all year, instead of fuddling around with a gimpy Daunte, then their season could have been a lot better.
But seriously… look at the three teams named.
Detroit- poorly managed team
Miami- poorly coached team that year (Saban)
Atlanta- problems in that organization from top to bottom.
Put Joey behind center on a team like the Saints, or Vikings and i’d bet he plays as well as Eli Manning last year.

Saints may be interested in him as a third string QB for the veteran minimum. They only have Brees and Brunell on the roster. They need an arm to throw a few passes during the week so as not to over stress the rebuilt shoulder of Brees and Brunell only has so many throws left in his 86 year old arm. Joey has a good arm, is young, has played and started in NFL games and would be a good addition as a #3 QB at the veteran minimum. It may be his only chance at a Super Bowl ring in his entire career!

Why wouldn’t you want Joey? I’m a Saints fan and love Brees and Brunell. We don’t currently have a 3rd stringer. Joey is young and talented, and brings game experience. He gets a bad rap, but played in Detroit, Miami and Atlanta (My High School has a better O-line than these 3 teams combined). Not as a starter, but a 3rd stringer…Heck yeah…Welcome to the big easy Joey!
