Veteran cornerbacks Sam Madison and R.W. McQuarters were thought to be in jeopardy of losing their jobs as the Giants make their final roster cuts today.

But Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that both cornerbacks have made the Giants’ 53-man roster.

Two players who didn’t make the roster were quarterbacks Anthony Wright and Andre Woodson, meaning the Giants have decided to join the ranks of teams with just two quarterbacks on the roster. Eli Manning will start and David Carr will back him up.

Failing to make the final roster is a major disappointment for Woodson, who a year ago, as a senior at Kentucky, was being talked about as a high first-round draft pick. Woodson should at least make some team’s practice squad.

Schefter also reports that wide receiver Sinorice Moss did make the Giants’ final roster, although he’s been disappointing so far and will need to improve soon if he wants to keep his job.
