Coach Andy Reid says QB Kevin Kolb is playing good football.
Kolb played the first half, guiding the Eagles to 13 points on their first three possessions.
Reid showed faith in WR DeSean Jackson by not playing him in the preseason finale.
CB Nick Graham reflects on the experience of being a bubble player.
Says DE Jerome McDougle of whether he’ll make the team, “I’m not really worried about what’s going to go on. The coaches, they have a lot of decisions to make, all around the board, not just me. Just put it in God’s hands.”
RB Lorenzo Booker had 11 carries for 36 yards and the game’s first touchdown.
OLB Bryan Smith had 10 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Smith is a defensive end. Its not your fault because NFL.com has it listed wrong but he’s a DE. Some might of projected him coming out to be a OLB but the Eagles took him to play DE which he wanted to do because he wasn’t comfortable playing linebacker. You’d think NFL.com wouldn’t have these kind of mistakes.

Some of these tough decisions to make
are good problems to have. More depth.
Special Teams will be much better.
Substitutes for injuries will be more capable.
GO EAGLES!!!!!

If Reid played Jackson and he injured himself, Philly fans would have burned the city to the ground in anger.

DE Bryan Smith played an excellent game. If his upside is any indication, maybe we’ll get to see him do this against first-teamers in the coming years.

Joe Mays was a beast last night too. I was at the game and the first half, it seemed like every defensive play the tackle was made by Joe Mays

Brookover didn’t have Hunt on his 53-man roster, did I miss something?

I liked what Gasperson did last night, would it be wise to keep
him as a TE/WR?
Wilson and Schoble (sp) did show as much in per-season, imo.

Eagles will be the “surprise” team of the NFL this year:
Here is what has to happen:
*Demps and DJackson must impact our ST; We WILL win the field position battle with these rookies. Trust me!
*(most important) a Healthy McNabb makes us a team to be most feared.
*D-Line must stop the run and pressure the quarterback; the so our 3 pro bowl CBs can be MOST impactive this year.
*WRs will be effective b/c DJack will be able to stretch the field; we will be able to finally forget about TO. The kid is the Real Deal…
I can’t wait ….

Eagles will be the surpise team of the NFL, as long as this happens:
1. Djack and Demps must drastically improve our ST and thus winning the field position battle on a consistant basis.
2. (Most important) McNabb stays healthy thus making this offense one of the best in the NFL
3. Djack must stretch the field; this guy is the TRUTH. Trust me! We will finally forget about TO. This guys will make LJ Smith and the other WRs better.
4. D-line must pressure the QBs; thus making our pro bowl CBs most impactive in games.
