With a Hurricane Gustav bearing down on the Bayou, the Saints will vacate New Orleans on Sunday, and ride out the storm in Indianapolis.
According to Adam Schefter of NFL Network, they’ll spend the week practicing at the now-vacant RCA Dome, and then return to New Orleans on Friday for their regular-season opener against the Buccaneers.
Gustav is expected to make landfall on the Gulf Coast on Tuesday. Three years ago, New Orleans tok a direct hit from Katrina, and in many respects is still recovering.

If by “is still recovering” you mean “has not recovered,” then yeah, N.O. “is still recovering.”
You must not have been there. It looks like shit, even now.
Then again, it is BELOW SEA LEVEL. You win some, you lose some.

Ya hear they are not letting the people use the Superdome for shelter anymore. They are actually going to bus people out of the city if deemed necessary.

Good for them, maybe they’ll win a Super Bowl by pumping sound through the speakers.

It won’t be the now vacant RCA Dome, as it really is now vacant and is about to be torn down. The RCA Dome has just a concrete floor and the dome roof and little else. If they do need to go to Indy it supposed to be to the New Lucas Oil Stadium to practice.
