Colts quarterback Peyton Manning will participate in practice on Tuesday, according to the Indianapolis Star.

“I think we’ll ease him in and see how he practices and what he’s able to do and we’ll see from there,” coach Tony Dungy said on Monday.

Per the Star, Dungy said that the plan is to remove Manning from the PUP list, which will make him eligible to practice.  (Last week, Manning participated in at least one walk-through practice, which apparently is permissible for players who are on the PUP list.)

Manning had surgery on July 14 to remove an infected bursa sac from his left knee.  He was supposed to miss four-to-six weeks.  Today is the six-week anniversary of the procedure.
