Here’s our look at the NFC South, as the 2008 season approaches.
As you’ll see, we like the Falcons to win it.
Just kidding.

I was pleasantly surprised by this level headed analysis.
Basically, the Saints SHOULD win it. But we’ll just watch to see what actually happens.

Haters, by NFC South tradition its our turn to win the division, since we finish last the year before. So, its already in the bag.

Analysis was solid, but I don’t know if it’s safe nor smart to say the team won’t be ok for another five years? With free agency the way it is and parity, you just never know. It’s safe it say the Atlanta Falcons will stink this year and next. But waiting for five years? How do you know? Who would have thought the Rams would have won the Super Bowl the year they did? You just. never. know. you can’t. predict. the long haul. future.

5 years till we should even worry about Atlanta? Tampa was 4-12 before winning the division, and that was without their QB going to jail, and a scrub coach who retired with a few games. NO went worst to first too, and after that they were Superbowl favorites? Please, the NFC South is so weak that just about any team can win it, and none have been able to maintain consistency.

NFC South weak? do you even watch football? every division has a stinker(falcons) but how does that say weak? saint have one of the best offenses in football, the Bucs had the #1 defense and the panthers are always tuff, remember they lost Jake for a good part of the season. with Tampa much improved offensive line and improved running game they should win the divison again. they did coast down the line resting most of the starters for the last 3 games. And the depth now because of that is evident. Tamps defense will be better then last year, you can bank on it, give garcia tiome in the pocket and its over. tampa bay wins it again with saints second, panthers, and last but not least the stinky falcons.

Yall may laugh now, but We will be the ones laughing at the end of the season. Its tradition that the last place team wins the next year so lookout for the Burner setting fire to the field all the way to the endzone.

We all know that Florio hates the Falcons. I don’t think the Falcons will be good this year, but to say that they won’t be competitive for 5 years is silly. The Saints were 3-13 before going to the NFC title game the next year.
I bet Florio was fired from Home Depot when he was 16 and will never forgive Arthur Blank.

Florio would even hate on the Falcons if they wore purple. You already left us for dead with your #32 ranking. Keep piling it on.

I don’t know if that measly minute and three-quarters of “analysis” should be viewed by anyone.
Where was this “analysis”?
You said that the falcons suck…which they do, however, it won’t be 5 years until they’re competitive…try two. And yes the Saints have re-tooled…hasn’t every team?? Wouldn’t true analysis be the presentation of whether or not this “re-tooling” will be affective??
Are you serious Florio?
I mean, you’re garage looks real nice and professional like, but I seem to be having a psychic hallucination of you and this other tool sharing your foyer bathroom while your wife (you cohabitating with an actual woman is purely my own speculation from your mentions of an offspring, I don’t know how any woman could stand a jock-sniffing, seinfeld obsessed internet hack, like yourself) applies make-up to this Abbott and Costello version of NFL Live.
Wouldn’t a true preview of the NFL South be an evaluation of each team’s additions/subtractions in both the roster and coaching staffs? I would talk about how Jeremy Shockey has been reunited with Sean Payton and how this transaction is reminiscent of another great qb/te hookup by the name of BREES TO GATES…Have you put that together yet??? SERIOUSLY…
See, even I, a Tampa native and Buc Season ticket holder since 93, can give honest analysis to a divisional foe.
That’s the last video of PFTV I ever watch.
Still love the site though Florio, Nothing Personal

I can’t believe how many of you took that “5 year” remark so seriously. It was obviously a dead-pan joke. The point he is making is that they won’t be a serious contender in the immediate future. If you took him to literally mean 5 years, this must be your first time on PFT.
And “Tampa Hoss,” I would argue that every team has not re-tooled. I am pretty sure the Bears just let whatever happens to them happen, with no thought for the future or putting a competitive product on the field.

Dear Champ Kind,
You can argue that every team has not re-tooled. However, this bland analysis of the NFC South could apply to almost any division.
Try the NFC North:
1) Green Bay’s gonna have a tough time with their new qb. It’ll be difficult for them to repeat as champions. (Florio’s Bucs Reference)
2) The Vikings and Lions have “Re-tooled” to compete with Green Bay for for the divison crown. (What Florio said about the Saints and Panthers)
3) The Bears won’t be competitive for 5 years. (Florio’s Falcons analysis…by the way funny how Atlanta loses Vick and within the year they’ve selected a franchise qb. Don’t worry Bears, I’m sure those bandaids you call qb’s will take the team far.)
See…there you go Florio…there’s your NFC North Preview
So, Champ Kind, if you prefer such fluff journalism, I suggest you renew your subscription to “Sports Illustrated for Kids”. I heard next month they’re gonna have a Tony Romo Color-by-number pull out.

Hey Tampa Hoss,
Why don’t you say what you really mean? I mean (can’t believe I’m defending Florio) yes it wasn’t in depth analysis, but at least he didn’t bash the Bucs like he usually does. There is a lot to do with maintaining a site, along with the video, posting and researching. I take this site as entertaining and not too serious. JMO
