The brother of Panthers’ first-round pick Jeff Otah got the player’s Cadillac Escalade stolen in Charlotte by one of the most wanted criminals in the city.
19-year-old Marcellus Morris has been named by police as one of the two suspected of carjacking the former Pitt player’s brother, Stan, and making off with the truck, jewelry and cash.
“As he pulled into his apartment complex, he noticed two guys standing on the corner they approached him, one with a rifle, one with a pistol, pulled it on him, carjacked him, then robbed him,” Officer Tim Slater said.
Morris is already wanted in connection with charges related to robbery, a kidnapping, drug crimes, and resisting police.

With that kind of money to buy a vehicle like that, what the hell are you doing living in an apartment complex that is probably known for a high crime rate. I know in Texas the apartments don’t have to tell you about any crimes committed at their property; however, you can contact the police and they will provide you with all the information available about crimes committed at a property. They won’t release any information to you about on going investigations though. I would figure most states would work in this fashion.
Hell, maybe he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time but if two guys are just standing there with guns I would think this is not an up and coming place.

The headline should have been Jeff Otah’s BROTHER is out a car, unless he’s like Marcus Vick and leaches off his brother. Which reminds me, I wonder how old Marcus is fairing these days…

Those guys knew Otah’s brother and knew what he had with him… there’s a very likely chance that the guy was carrying far too much money and far too much jewelry to be an accident. I’m just saying, the possibility that one drug dealer told another who then told the stick-up man is a real possibility.
